*Sigh.* This usually happens whenever I disagree with anyone over anything. They think I'm angry. Just because I present what seems to you like a passionate arguement. Perhaps I, too, ought to take to adding disclaimers to the bottom of my posts saying "The above is nothing more or less than my own personal opinion and need not affect the reader in any way whatsoever."

I don't think you quite understood my posts as an attempt to dissuade you from doing comedy. That might have been because they were more along the lines of "I ask you to challenge yourself to do non-comedy" than "I challenge you to do non-comedy." Unfortunately, this is the infancy of a pointless debate that I would end up losing because you are the Supreme Lord of - wait, you said it better than I:
RevanSithLord wrote:I chose comedy because I can and because I want to....Clones starting out because I want to....Comedy because I want to........ To sum it up, I want to....

There's one thing that I noticed:
RevanSithLord wrote:As for my 'egotistical' sounding statement (at least I still think it sounded that way, I don't ever like when I sound that way and yes, I am critical of myself), I'm voicing one of the main characters because I think voice acting is fun. I know, I am the 'Supreme Lord of All That Is Decided In This Thread', but I'm not letting that power get to my head. And since my voice can never be taken seriously, even in a serious machinima/film, I could never make a serious machinima until I work on being able to change how my voice sounds.

That's not quite true. You could make a serious machinima by not voicing one of the main characters.

But I desist. For one, I don't wish to be slapped with a warning for trolling (see disclaimer). Also, for obvious reasons, I don't think I can win this.

Disclaimer: The above is nothing more or less than my own personal opinion and need not affect the reader in any way whatsoever. I apologize profusely for any offense taken by the reader, and expound that to cause such offense was not my intention.

Sir! There's something on the scanner! It looks like...like...an obscene mass of...of sarcasm!

Read other people's work. (fanfiction.com. Mainly women and romance fics, but occasionally you find a diamond in the rough)
Read Star Wars Reference. (ie Essential Chronology, Essential Atlas, Wookiepedia, etc)
Talk to people to brainstorm ideas. Let a few people in on how the story is so far and ask THEM how they would continue.

And above all else, walk away. Work on a new project. Go for a run. Do something to take your mind off of what you are trying to write. Then come back to it and see if you can come up with something.

Oh, to add on to Twilight, read some history. It's had five thousand years to write and never had writer's block.

@ Fiodis' post before the one just above this- But....what if I want to voice? That's the thing. I like voice acting and I want to voice for it. Thus this is why this is comedy. Since I like to voice act, want to voice act, and the fact mostly no one can take my voice seriously - it could never be a serious comedy. I do have a few serious machinimas out there with no voice at all, so I've already done serious. I'm tired of serious.

I agree, it is kind of annoying when people misinterpret one's words (in-fact, I'm probably doing it again... *sigh*) and act rationally by acting somewhat hostile or upset. And as I said myself, I apparently misinterpreted, to no surprise. I figured you probably weren't angry, but I wanted to be sure. I'm not one to like hostility, so I apologize if I sounded, well.....I dunno what to call it anymore. But I know - it's your personal opinion and you're quite free to share it, I'm not stopping you (why would I?) - I treasure it regardless. Just don't be too surprised if someone takes it the wrong way. I only seemed to have been a tad upset because my blood sugars were high at the time of typing that post (I remember the pain, it was terrible), and high blood sugars usually impair judgment. I'm afraid it happens far too many times than I would like. My diabetes haven't exactly been in check lately, I'm afraid, but I'm trying to make it all better. So sorry for any 'hostility' that may have occurred. I'm not one for doing that normally.

As for the 'Supreme Lord of All That Is Decided In This Thread' comments.... I'm no more than common folk. Whether that was sarcasm, just merely playing around, or not (I only assume it was because of the eye-rolling fiesta going on). I deserve no such title. I merely created a thread. No more, no less. I'm equal as any other member here in terms of almost everything regarding rights minus a few moderator/admin powers, which quite frankly, I don't even need nor deserve. I could really care less about myself or my well being. I only really care about others, more than myself. But this isn't the topic of the thread.

Anyways, the machinima will stay comedy, the humor will attempt to be at least somewhat clean (somewhat), and the timeline will probably end up in a weird place by the time this thing is over. Just to sum it up.

By the way, I did laugh at what you said at the bottom. Bravo with that. That's actually not a half bad line to use somewhere. Credits for that, of course.

In response to the advice, thank you both, Twilight_Warrior and Fiodis. I have been trying some of that, I suppose I should continue and see what I can get. I've even done so much as play different games to get inspiration for dialogue and scenes. I hope I can finally get something out. One successful episode is all I ask, really.

PS- I'm hungry and I'm going to go get some chow. If I've said anything incredibly bad or rude, let me know - as far as I'm concerned I didn't, but ya never know.

PPS- I give up on this debate, it's not worth it.

Writers block? Try looking at other successful machinimas/films/books/myths. Draw some ideas out of those, then shape them to make them your own. Also, you DO have people with an interest in the project. (And raring to go!)

Now here's an idea. Instead of deciding to make this whole entire series with a plot and everything, why don't we just do a series of short skits or something, at least until enough experience has been gathered for an actual 'movie' of sorts.

I would love to be involved somehow in this (Idk about voice acting though). I think if it's comedy OR serious it would do *much* better in a not clone-wars era. You talked about A Clone Apart- that wasn't a clone wars era that was a clone in the GCW era. I think Padawan_Fighter's quite recent idea is actually a good one. A few shorts to get it all together before you make any episodes or anything like that. I would like to see a serious series, but I think it'd be pretty difficult to pull off without being cheesy. How about when people read lines for voice acting, you have them do their serious, and have them do their comedic role or whatever. This way you could see if there would be enough good serious voice actors

You know, I always was thinking of maybe doing a series of skits...you know, like the first thing we do is one scene, then the scene changes, and we're somewhere else, at another timeline, doing something else. I was thinking for one skit having a clone and two droids sing "Munnah Munnah".

from this thread:
RevanSithLord wrote:To those wondering about the SWBF2 machinima series, I am sorry, I've been addicted to Fallout New Vegas and to no surprise and I am imagining a rolling of eyes and the saying of "Typical...I knew it" since I've put it on hold. See I was never the leader type. I don't even think I should've made that thread in the first place but I went against my own judgment - my fault. If anyone wants to pick up on it as leader, that'd be nice and I'd follow and help with ideas of course- I've just never been a leader. I've been waiting to obtain New Vegas for months and months on end and when I finally obtained my pre-order on the 19th, I've been drooling over it ever since and have been playing almost nonstop.)

Yeah, I'm sorry everybody, FO NV has consumed me pretty much whole. I was gonna post news and well...let's just say I was more distracted than I thought I was.

What do you guys do now, you ask? Perhaps there can still be plans for it, so in-case I'm not as distracted anymore, I can return and finally do this. I don't know how long that'll take and I'm sure many people out there are sighing and rolling their eyes at how typical this sort of thing is.
