High!

OLD: I made 2 new start-up screens for BF2.
Now I'm working at my 3th launcher. If I finished, I will release them.
There is only one probleme: I've no names for my s-u ss...

Here are some pics:

NOTE: no "by Bird-Kid" text on the finished s-u ss.

v4 (now finished):

new since v2 and 3: the new "Aero glass" design (= "crystal design") for all buttons

v3:

I don't like these s-u s and I never finished it!

v2:



new since v1: buttons to "options" and "extras" on page "help"
buttons to "options" and "help" on page "extras"
etc.

v1 (well, you can see it was my first... - bear with me):



new: a page called "My favorites" - you can add 2 own links
(in v1.1 I'll change "my pofd" to "my potd")


I'll release only an english version (included an english and german readme)


Please post you ideas for names and what you think about my s-u ss.

EDIT: I think all these s-u ss are only for the DVD version! If someone with the CD version post some pics of his "Install" folder, I can see what I can do...

If you mean taking in-game screenshots, just press Fn+Prt sc while playing and it saves the screenshot in the Screenshot folder located in your Gamedata folder.

I know how to take screen shots....

Anyhow, what I meant was, the loading screens, the in-game menus, (you know, "multiplayer, singleplayer, instant action, settings, all that kinda stuff)

I have a feeling this has something to do with editing the shell.....

Well when you say "make in-game screens", who knows what you're talking about.

In-game menus I haven't done, but i'm pretty positive it does have to do with editing the shell.

These are great. What a pity they can't be downloaded yet.

go into you "Install" folder. you can see some folder called "sound", "pages" etc. in pages folder are .PNGs files - change them... (the file "..._map.png" [or so similarly] you can set where the buttons should be) :idea:


I'll create the "my fav" page, save all pics as an PNG file, edit the "launcher.xml" file and correct the text "My PofD" to "My PotD". If I finished, I'll release them... ...but where? to "SWBF2 Released Maps & Mods"?

EDIT 01: If you believe it or not: I created these pics with MS PowerPoint 2003 and save them with "Jasc(R) Paint Shop(tm) Pro(R) 9.1"

No, I haven't the faintest idea how to do loading screens or in-game menus. And it has nothing to do with editing the s-u s. Sorry.

two thumbs up for you Bird-Kid

1. Call them either Bird-Kid's Start-up-Screens or Aero Glass Start-up Screens.
2. Release them into the SWBF II Released maps/mods forum - others have already done so, and after all, you're making some kind of mod
3. Penguin is Gametoast's favourite execption to the rule that modders/mappers are male.
4. you said you'd include a german Readme... Are you from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, eastern Belgium, Liechenstein, Luxemburg or Tirol ?

Well, but it's called "... Map/Mod". And that's a new launcher...
But I think you have right.


I'll release my s-u ss next week (because I'm over my dl limit)

Has someone any ideas for new s-u ss - or should I make a "Gametoast launcher".
