Re: WIP: Clone Wars: Landing at Point Rain
Friday Update!
This week i've decided to add fighters, splines, the geonosian warrior and engineer, and most importantly i've done my first rought ouline of the geonosian hive, a subterrainian part of the map that makes up roughly 1/3 of hub #3. Here are this weeks pics for your viewing pleasure.
Future plans: Currently working on adding a space battle over the map with three republic covettes taking on two CIS banking clan ships. All the ships will be animated to move arround and fight broadside and there will be ships avalable at two locations so that you can go up and join the fighting. I can't promice ill actually get this done yet though because i'm not sure about the technicialities but unless I say otherwise there will be an air battle over point rain.
Before you even ask:
1) yes i'm aware of the fact that the tunnels appear pink, this was my first attempt on reskining, it didn't work, i'm going to make new skins for the tunnels
2) The Geonosian warrior is not done yet, he's gonne be bigger, new skin, and i'll remove that mini saber on the end of his pike
3) No promices on the air battle, like I said I haven't proven that concept yet.
Q&A
Since I didn't get any complaints this round, which is odd, i'll ask you guys a question instead.
What else would you like to see from Landing at Point Rain? At the moment I basically know everything I want to get done and am not adding anything new, if your not sure about a feature or would like to see something else added in now is the time to tell me because once I figure out custom VO and airbattles i'm going to stop experimenting and start full out world building. I WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING SUGGESTIONS AFTER NEXT FRIDAY.
Also another request to the community, if anyone has some experiance with VO would they be willing to send me a PM briefly describing how they added it? I have most of the parts but I keep missing something.

I would make the lighting more orange or red. This will make it look more like the episode in my opinion, but you were probably planning on doing that anyways. Looks great!

Those pics were from the campaign, one of the objectives is to rescue a group of captured scouts, I just took it from an angle that showed some of the other wounded soliers.

Re: WIP: Clone Wars: Landing at Point Rain
I'm not going to have heroes in the campaign, but you can play as commander cody or a geonosian chieftain in conquest mode. I'll give you guys more details on heroes once I make them.

Looks nice. I wouldn't mind if this map actually worked on my non-ubercomp, so rein in your l33tness a bit, if you don't mind. Also, I'm hoping you don;t use the 1-shot 1-kill philosophy used by Banthat55 in some of his MASSIVE maps (which would crash on ocassion) Other than that, all is well.

Re: WIP: Clone Wars: Landing at Point Rain
Don't worry about running problems, my computer is crappy so I won't be able to go waay over the top. also I will not be using the 1 hit one kill theory, while it may be realistic it is by no means fun, sorry Banthat55.

Praise be to [dietyofyourchoice]! That is good to know. Re: WIP: Clone Wars: Landing at Point Rain
Monday Update:
Alright folks, the airbattle is a go! I've gotten almost all of it working. In todays gallery are a few pics of three republic corvettes engaging 2 CIS munificent frigates. Currently only two of the ships are animated but now that I know how to do it i'll have the others working soon. All the republic corvettes are armed with 8 chaingun anti-starfighter turrets and a single bombardment gun to attack ground units. All CIS frigates have 8 cannons for ship to ship combat, 4 AA guns for anti-aircraft and 2 bombardment guns for the ground. The republic frigates are faster but the CIS frigates are heavier in the end they should balance out to be about equal. Also there are some screenies of my updated Geonosian Hive, no more pink tunnels! there are still a few holes in the walls that I gotta fix but overall I think the hive is ready to become a battle zone. Just as a reminder to the community, I am finilising my ideas as of this friday, after that no new concepts will be introduced to get your voice in before that.
Q&A
-As mentioned earlier, heroes will only be in conquest mode and will be commander cody and a Geonosian Chieftain
-There will not be a space battle in the campaign mode because there was no space battle in the episode, sorry peeps
-This mod will be kept as small (file wise) as possible so don't worry too much about running it on old computers
-I will NOT be using the one shot one kill theory, while some units are easy to kill, nothing dies in one hit and there are plenty of medic droids arround. Plus if you a fan of the million kill rampage you can do that too as a Republic Commando, Droideka, or SBD, just watch your weakpoints.
Requests to the community
-I still can't get VO to work, could really use some help, send pm if you would be willing and able to
-I know Forcemaster has made a the corvette model I need, any chance I could use it?
