CORUSCANT: STREETS coming soon

Current tests seems to show that the map works pretty well so i guess that The Streets map will be out in the next couple of days. there are still a few things i need to add but except the new sounds nothing i´m worry about.
To those of the GT clan currently testing the map and have not already replied your comments on xfire or PM please posts feedback into this thread: index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2140

this map is funny in SP.

I played with Rends (and Schizo, but he left so I played with Rends most - lol)

in MP it ROCKZ!!! all the extra walkways you can move at (and I 'met' Rends there a couple of times - lol)

its definately on eof the best in history - and I LOVE all the text :P

and Rends: plzplzplz translate all the text you've written all over the place :roll:

Yep seems to run pretty stable in MP.
About translation, uuh, if i would remember what i typed there. The only text i remember was the scrolling text downside the upper walkways wich says something like "sebulba won the race" or so.

There is a Diet Dr. Pepper bug anywhere in the locals files wich let CTD the Dedicated server software and also the SPtest.exe.

Man and it worked so well in Singleplayer or when hosted from ingamebrowser.

Uh, yeah... I kinda got stuck at that little stats screen at the end... the 'done' button never showed up... so I just closed the game and went on to get distracted by numerous other things. T'was fun though. As much as I like playing this map in single player, this map is definitely better in multiplayer. Even the alpha versions were good for multiplayer fun. (Me and Ace played a couple matches on the final alpha version, which was fun too... though you really have to play the beta version of the map to really experience it like it's meant to be)

Hey Rends,

Haven't seen you on here in a few days. How are things going? Have you worked out that whole button thing you & Schizo were talking about?

I've heard from Schizo that the sky texture looks pretty good in the game. What's your opinion of it? I'd be glad to work on it if you'd like. From what little I could see of the sky in your screenshots, it looks like there's a slight stretching of the stars. I may or may not be able to get it not to do that, but if it would help, I'll give it a shot. I certainly don't want your beautiful map to be flawed by a texture I made. :wink:

PS: Thanx for the BETA map Rends. This is a truly great map! I love it. I only wish my skills as a player could do it justice.

I saw what you were talking about if you look straight up and see that streak in the center of the sky. I'll see if there's something I can do about it for you. While I'm at it, do you like the purple-ish tint to the horizon line, or would you like it a different hue? Also, did you use the smaller image or the larger one?

Joe, i used the larger sky texture and if you plan to do any changes to the sky hurry up i want to release the map end of the day. And i´m fine with the purple horizon it makes a nice city shine if you are able to watch it.

Hey Rends,
I've sent an email with the revised sky. I hope you get it in time. It's virtually the same, but I think I got rid of the star that was streaking in the top-center.

I also thought the horizon looked nice, but I don't know how many people are going to fly up to the highest spot they can get to like I did, abandoning their teammates to be slaughtered just to admire the "breathtaking" Coruscant skyline. :lol: :lol:
