Just finished up the modeling for the map (discounting any minor tweaks I need to do). Despite using a few stock props (and of course terrain), I still ended up with just about as many custom models as The Big "L," which is to say about 50 new models (with new textures, etc, etc.). Campaign's not done yet, but it will be soon.

I am so stoked for this map that it's crazy. I'm really into single-player RPGish/puzzle/lone wolf type mods now, thanks to you. And frankly, the Big "L" is a better time than many a "full-scale" mod out there (I mean for any game), so I'd imagine Bakura will be even better. Can't wait! :)

Oh man, I've got goosebumps already. Since The Big L had some special features such as adding dark times era to Aquilaris I wonder, what fancy trick will this one do?

Mav, there are actual games out there that are not as good as this stuff. Splinter Sell just won't play the same any more...

Woo! Finished all the campaign. Need to do a few minor tweaks (set up standard modes & eras) and do some sound work but I'm essentially done.

Alright, now I can say that I am done (unless of course I actually made a mistake :runaway: - which would of course be caught by the upcoming beta test :wink: ). I'm sending out the beta to some testers right now, but here is a quick overview of what's included (testers take note):

To cover some basics of GCW hunt (story mode):
Weapons available:
Blaster pistol
Blaster rifle
Sniper rifle (Charge shot)
Rocket launcher (Charge shot)
Grenade launcher (Charge to cluster launcher)
Shotgun (Charge shot)
ARC Caster (Charge shot)
Repeating blaster rifle
There's also a small easter egg weapon available - there's no special way to get it; all the item drops are random. Play enough and you will see it eventually.

Modes:
In addition to GCW hunt (which has been the "story mode" in all three Rebel Ops maps), there are seven other modes:
Conquest for GCW, CW, KotOR, and Dark Times
Hero Assault (stock)
Team Deathmatch for GCW and KotOR
It doesn't sound like anything special, I'm sure, but since the map is so big (there is a fairly substantial interior to the mountain), there are basically four different "areas" used, spread out over those modes.

I'm really excited about finishing this up, hopefully the testers - and eventually everyone else - will enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Are you talking about those fans? Instead of jumping straight for the next platform, try aiming in the direction of the fan itself when jumping. (it may help)

No, I have mastered the fans. I just have the last part to do, and I wanted to try on 1st person view, but I kinda gave up and had other things to do. I just have to memorize the the whole thing.
