Can I upload my mod

Of my 3 HvB mods, 2 are uploaded to starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com. One has 2000 downloads and another has 6000. HvB3 I didn't upload to the official swbf2 filefront, only the normal filefront and it only got 1100 hits, and I believe it to be the most polished of the mods.
The reason I didn't put it on swbf2 filefront is because I was told I would get sued for having loads of custom music. It has tracks ranging from Halo to Thomas Bergersen. Is it true I'd get sued? Or would the mod just get denied? I haven't got sued for having it on normal filefront yet, and I doubt I will. Its more of a question of could I get sued. Thanks

As far as I can know, no one has had any content removed because of custom music. Just go look at all of Dann Boeing's old maps, with ALL the Beatles music ever. Technically we're not even allowed to include Star Wars music, but we've seen that happen many times.

That being said I have no authority on the matter, just experience.

Ive seen mods with star wars music that didn't even appear in vanilla and there seems to be no problem. Ive never seen anyone get sued over it either on here.

As long as you're not making money off it I don't think you'd get sued, sueing you would take resources and it doesn't appear they've been willing to do that to modders in the past.

Making money off something is *not* how you tell if it's breaking copyright. It's only one of *many* ways copyright could be broken.

Yes, but in my (limited) experience I don't think anyone has ever had much of a problem with custom music before in modmaps, however if we were all selling these they'd probably take legal action I'm guessing.

I'm not saying it's a problem, it may be or may not be, I'm just saying "I'm not making money so therefore it's not wrong" shows up all the time, and it's wrong. There's more to copyright than just making money. Someone sitting at home downloading pirated music for free isn't making money, and neither is the pirating website, but that's still illegal.
fasty knows he's not making any money on it, if that were the only issue, he wouldn't have bothered posting asking whether there were any issues.
Piracy is always wrong, not just when you get caught. Just like everything. If custom music is wrong and no one has had legal action taken against them, it doesn't mean it's OK.

Anyway, here's GT's Copyright Policy for reference.
