THEWULFMAN's Original Star Wars Ship/Vehicle Models Thread

I love Star Wars, I love Starships, I love designing them from the ground up, and I love modeling.
So I created this thread to show all my original ships, fighters, starbases and the like. All models and names are original, and thus are mine.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
First off, there were several unnamed Battleships mentioned in Republic Commando novels, and this is what I think one of the classes looked like. Allow me to introduce the,
Lagrangian-Class Battleship
Length: 2040 meters
Width: 620 meters
Height: 300 meters
Type: Battleship/Heavy Cruiser
Armament:
■Heavy quad rapid-fire turbolaser turrets (26),
■Point-defense laser cannons (124),
■Tractor beam projectors (12),
■Heavy proton torpedo tubes (16), 24 torpedoes each.
Affiliation: Republic (Clone Wars)

I always felt the rebels needed a cool gunship that wasn't a LAAT variant. About 6 years ago I started designing one(In Lego), it went through 17 different overhauls in design till I settled on a design very similar to this. It is still a WIP, I have a couple things to add, mainly the doors that will raise and lower with animations, a detailed cockpit, and lots of detail. This is a pure Repulsorlift vehicle, and as such it can not leave the atmosphere of a planet. Its maximum altitude varies planet to planet, but is in the 25,000-35,000 range. They are deployed from Mon Calamari Cruisers in low orbit, very low orbit, and until they reach their maximum altitude they are in a controlled fall. Each one can carry 2 squads into battle, so a usual formation is 2-4 gunships. Please note that the troops in there are for scale reference and aesthetic only, they will not be in the final model.
All Weather Attack Gunship (AWAG, slang term "A-wahg")
Length: 22 meters Est.
Width: 18 meters Est.
Height: 7.5 meters Est.
Type: Gunship
Armament:
■C-44 Heavy Projectile Cannons (6),
■CE-5 Anti Vehicle Rocket Launchers (12) 8 Rockets each,
Affiliation: New Republic (Thrawn Era)

This is for a "secret" mod I am making, so I wont go into much info wise yet.
ETA-3 Jedi StarFighter
Length: 15 meters Est.
Type: Fighter
Armament:
■Heavy Blaster Cannons (4),
■Anti Vehicle Rocket Launchers (2) 4 Rockets each,

WHOAH! That's really cool! Do you plan on using the stock venator texture?

Thanks for the kind words and compliments everyone, its means a lot to me.
naru1305 wrote:PS: will we see your nice Mandator II Star Destroyer here, too?
Actually no, since that technically isn't an original ship. Its an original design yes, but it was done because the original Mandator model and design sucked, bad. When/if I show you guys on GT what it looks like, it will be in the normal model showcase thread.
kinetosimpetus wrote:Reminds me of Galak Fyyar's Doomgiver with those pods all over the front.
That's very interesting. It wasn't any part of my concept references, which were all Rep/CIS. But I do love JK2 and I always though the doomgiver was a cool ship.
Those pods on the Lagrangian actually hold each of its 26 secondary reactors needed to power the 26 Quad Barreled Rapid Fire Turbolaser turrets that go on top of each pod. The Lagrangian has about 7 times the firepower of a Venator and was designed to destroy separatist blockades(this is all my design of course).
CalvaryCptMike wrote:Do you plan on using the stock venator texture?
All of my models will have original textures done by me, no stock textures will be used.

And now, update. I added a new vehicle to the first post, but here it is for easy viewing.

That's from EAW:FOC, a game I dont consider most of to be canon anyway. Plus, that is not a gunship, thats more like a CH-47, not an AH-64 (for those non-military geeks, CH-47 is the Chinook, the big double rotor helicopter, and the AH-64 is the Apache).

But thanks for the compliment anyway :P

I like the first ship!
Just a nitpick: If the Awahg ship goes in free fall to its top altitude, how do they ship them back into space?

Thanks again everyone.
Cerfon Rournes wrote:Are you planning to make that blue glass transparent?
Yes.
CressAlbane wrote:Just a nitpick: If the Awahg ship goes in free fall to its top altitude, how do they ship them back into space?
The free fall is for the invasion of a planet, as it can free fall faster than a cruiser can descend onto a planet. When an AWAG needs to get back to its cruiser, the cruiser must descend lower than the AWAG minimal ceiling, which is about 35,000 feet.

When designing ships and vehicles, I am very though when designing how each ship works.
