The guides for XSI are greek to me...

Ok so I'm probably just being lazy and not doing a full search for a good guide but I cant figure them out. I know there's probably a very explanatory guide out there but finding it...anyway I basicly just want to make a 2 or 3 story building with floors, windows, stairs etc. But I can't even figure out what to use to manipulate the pre made box you can insert. I know this is a lot of typing to ask of you but if you could maybe give me the basics and maybe explain how to create a building or suggest a good, simple, explanatory guide I would appreciate it so much, thank you.
