I played through the demo and loved it. And that's saying something, because I find the whole Command & Conquer gameplay slow and boring. But this game is flat out awesome. I liked it so much I'm trying to convince my wife to let me get the limited edition when it comes out. I'd like to get that custom wraith and 'hog, and I'm not going to lie and say I don't want the Mythic Map Pack.

Anyways, I've seen some of you guys playing it. Thoughts?

Played it at a friend's.
Microsoft+Ensemble+Bungie=EPIC WINSAUCE. I luvved it soooo much.

Made me wanna reinstall my AoE II. But I just lost the disc.

For Xbox Live Gold Members, yep. Sadly, that's not me

Things to try:

1. Army of 6 Vultures, 3 maxed-out Spatans, and four ODST squads. Go to the enemy base with them, select all of them, press Y on that base.

2. 2 Scarabs, 3 Locusts. It gets results.

3. Take the rebel base on your side and fill it up with second-tier supply pads. You will have teh monies.

4. Listen to "Everything You Know is Wrong" by Weird Al while playing.

5. Get as many tanks as possible on the second Campaign level.

6. While performing the first one, ask your enemies how they are (call them gentlemen, it's polite), then proclaim that all their bases will belong to you, then tell them they are on the way to destruction as you press Y. You will have successfully set them up the bomb.

Ha, I'm still on Xbox 360 Live Gold 1 Month Trial. Can't you still download demo's on Silver? Anyway, the demo was great loved it.

Sigh... This is Ensemble's last project. They're being disbanded... I guess that also means no more AoE...

I would love to have a 360 just to play this.

Actually, (while I don't have the link, I think it was on G4tv.com) Ensemble still lives. The team is now under the name Robot Entertainment. So it is Ensemble's last project, but the team is still together.

And Bonfire Studios as well. While I don't always trust Wikipedia, the sources seemed reliable

Well yes, for most games you can, but Microsoft decided to make the Halo Wars demo Xbox Live Gold-only.

Already used the trial, I was referring to his question about Silver.

Haven't played it, but my friend says its awesome and I love real-time strategy gameplay. It rocks.

So some of the reviews I've read said multiplayer is lacking. This doesn't sit well with me. I haven't played VS on the demo, but if mutiplay isn't addicting like Halo or SWBF2 then I am demoting this to a rent-and-beat.

Anyone got comments on multiplayer?

It's not available in the demo, but you can face an AI. It seems kinda fun, and the fact that you can have a 3v3 match is awesome

I would love to try this out. So far it's sounding pretty good. At least people are enjoying it so far. A lot of people are worried about the fact that it's an RTS on a console. But from what I can see, it looks like they're making it work.

No... Chief would be only about 5 or 10 in this game. This is 20 years before Halo 1 takes place. Oh, and about what Fusion said about the second campaign level- I did that. I maxed out my troop count. Throughout the whole level, I lost maybe 3 or 4 troops.

I've never really been into RTS games, but I may give this one a try.
