well, title describes the question. how do YOU set height of the units?

That just scales up the mesh. You also need to scale up the unit, using a msh.option file with a scale parameter in it, and even then you encounter problems if you try to scale them up too much.

you can hexedit the transaltion of the bone_root if you want to edit the units height

Yep, that solves one problem; but again there are others. For instance, if you scale it too much, the texture looks blergh.

it is a bone of the units sceletton and included in the units meshfile
download bconstructor on swbffiles, load the units mesh look for boneroot and adjust the yaxis-translation

ok, thanks. oh, and sorry for using so much time answering, i didnt know you were online. i thought that online/offline marker/plate/whateveritis didnt work, but now i understand that is only my countrys timesone's fault.

Also, I don't think
BConstructor writes the envelope and weight data when re-saving the character as msh, so this won't work.
