Well, maybe we could help you if you told us what the problem could be ?! Do you use Gimp ? If so, did you uncheck "RLE compression" ? Could you post the error Log please, too.

Well, i cheked question 4 in the FAQ, and found nothing that mentions anything about a error log, so idk what it is and i can't post one in that matter, but, yes i use GIMP and all the programs like in the tutorial,... when i want to save my newly created clone trooper skin i can only SAVE it as GIMP file,... some formtas that are really strange, so i EXPORT the new skin to desktop in a .tga (tarGA) format file, and I paste the .msh file for that skin and open it in the MSV viewer or Star Wars Battlefront viewer and it tourns out just like i made it,... and when i do the visual munge for the first time i check conquest, name the map : "SKN", and i munge, i Did all the LUA and notepad stuff right becouse i copy pasted the information from this tutorial, and i checked if it is correct. Then i munge the SKN map for the second time and i choose the rep on sides i choose common and the world SKN and i munge,... i got a fast computer so i don't know: the munge takes like 30seconds maybe even less and i never had succesfull muges and on the ned of the munge it sais: Munge complete! Go run Battlefront2 ! and when i do i chose my map :"SKN%_%" <--- thats how it appears in swbf2 and yes, i do have 1.1 patch, i launch the game but it crashes and a window opens op titling: FATAL. and the error description is : Could not load mission.lvl. HELP pls ! :runaway: :runaway: :faint:

EDIT
And i forgot to say : when i EXPORT instead of SAVING the file i do uncheck the "RLE compression". and i open the .tga file on desktop and it is just how i made it!

You have to run the debug executable to get the error log, so just follow Question 4 from the FAQ and you'll get a .txt document I think. Post it's contents when you find it. But I think your main problem is the munge. Also from the FAQ:
Question #7 - I'm using Vista or Windows 7 and Visual Munge is not working properly, it is munging too fast so what's wrong?
Answer - Try THIS (here is the link: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 73#p295373 ) workaround to get it working properly.
If it still doesn't work, try to get the error log and I would advise you to read all of the FAQ and also the Documentary which come with the Modtools. I learned modding also through this good tutorial from Fierfek:http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... 0#Download
Edit: It's not a text file, the file should be called: BFront2.log

you get the error because there is a problem with one of your scripts, its not connected to skinning so this should be discussed in a seperate thread.
anyway, you have to copy the .exe file into battlefront gamedata folder where the bink32.dll is.

thx, now i have so many options, first im going to try to copy the modtools i had before in the game data then ill try to create a new world from there.
If that doesen't work ill try to download the NoDVD version but on the FAQ says it's for the users that use the DVD version so im a bit confused :runaway: and omg ---> :cpu:

And maybe it's not connected to skinning but it is connected to munging which is also a part of this tutorial, so i'd apritiated it if someone could find the right solution, i tried many things, im using windows 7 by the way

Anyways this is my error log from BFront2.log file :

First off, spamming HEEEEELLP!!! isnt going to get you anywhere. I really recommend you get add me on x-fire. It is the best way (for me anyhow) to help you. It's soap82020. Mission.lvl crashes are caused by a LUA error. With windows 7 you need THIS (click the yellow) fix. Are you certain you setup all the sides files correctly? I mean the req, odf, and .msh? If you did everything in the tutorial correctly then it should work.

I've sent an invitation to you david, i do have the vistamungefix.bat and i did run it, i've been trough this tutorial twice, meaning i did everything twice, so if there is a mistake in my modding I really can't belive i did it twice in a row -.-.

and i did create the msh folder, the odf, effects, munge and the req folder, and i don't think this is about a crash : i can't find SKN, in C/Programfiles(86)/LucasArts/Starwarsbattlefront2/Gamedata/addon folder i find the SKN in c/users/(username)/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles(86)/LucasArts/Starwarsbattlefront2/gameData/Addon file, still when i open the SKN from there i search the whole folder but there is no mission.lvl the SKN folder contains these files :
-data(folder)->_LVL_PC(folder)-> (this folder is empty)
-addme script

:maulsaber:

EDIT:
When i run visualMunge from skn/_BUILD folder the munge lasts like 1.5 second literally and on the munge log this shows up :

Munging addme.lua...done.
Copying files to Battlefront II directory:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData"
Addon dir exists, continuing...
Mod dir "SKN"exists, continuing...
Copying addme.script to mod dir...done
Copying "mission.lvl" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Copying "core.lvl" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Copying "SKN" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Copying "SIDE" to modDir\data\_LVL_PC\...done
Munge process finished
\NVIDIA was unexpected at this time.

except i never noticed the last line before.
:faint: :runaway: :faint:

:| this means you didnt use the vista munge fix right. Read over the fix tutorial page again and make sure you did everything right. I will be on x-fire when I can but im a little busy at the moment.

i followed the insutrctions: downloaded vistamungefix placed the folder in D/BF2_ModTools directory i ran it from inside there but the command prompt opened and shut down after like a milisecond literally :( , anyways I created a new world like in the tutorial and that is what showed up, meaning the mungefix didn't work for me, i am using Windows 7 proof :

Windows edition

Windows 7 Ultimate

Service Pack1.

i know i didnt copy paste this, becouse you can't, so it isnt the @ it's the c but that is what it says.

the munge fix should work for everyone...run the vistamungefix.bat, make a new world, munge, and try again. Otherwise its a problem with your nvidia card (although highly unlikely)
