THE NEW RENNAISSANCE OF SWBF1

Hail And Well Met, My Fellow Fans Of Star Wars Battlefront--

The servers are overflowing with gazillions of BF2 games, while tumbleweeds seem to intersperse the few games of a whopping 15 or 20 players that are found in Gamespy's BF1 serverlist. And understandably so... there are MANY improvements in BF2 over BF1.

Thing is-- despite the patches, and despite the bright and shiny "newness" of the SEQUEL TO the award-winning original game-- the first Star Wars Battlefront just seems smoother and more playable to me, and with fewer bugs.

I came Here, Now, upon this forum, to inform you-- my Brothers (and Sisters?) of the Galactic Battlefront-- that stormclouds roll forth upon the horizon... A tempest of gamers who enjoy the original game have now birthed a New Renaissance to online BF1 gaming.

I'm excitedly surprised, however, to discover that this Renaissance has already blossomed itself here, in the Battlefront community at Gametoast!

I've been devoted to SWBF1 for 6 months now. Because I've not joined a clan, my options for servers and gamers have been limited, and-- in an effort to rally more players of this amazing game to join me on mod-maps-- I decided to create a website that would serve as a "Briefing Room" for us.

I'm brand new to Game Toast, and to this particular Battlefront community, so-- even though I now have found a small "gathering" of players who are devoted (or addicted) to the original game, continuing STILL to procure new mods for it-- I don't really know if you guys multiplay SWBF1 mods online together.

I'd like to game BF1 together in some modded enviornments.

I'm hosting some sweet mods that are the Best of the best that I've encountered, and I invite you to simply take a deeper glance upon the website of the New Renaissance... "We B.F.".

HEAR MY CALL TO ARMS, MY FELLOW BATTLEFRONTERS! If you've enjoyed the playability of the original Star Wars Battlefront, then come join the Renaissance as we blaze into new Battlefronts of the Old Game!

Until We Meet In The Sky--

stormbringer thats really a great thing ur trying to do man
ur love for BF1 is very admirable, it was by far the superior game
i might even go back to BF1 for good if i hadent already poured so much blood sweat and tears into making BF2 and all the components (mod maps, map maker) work

i want Bf1 back as much as the next guy, but the community u may be unfortunately gone forever-in some ways i think it would be better off if they had never released BF2- but nevertheless its pretty much almost gone.

but for all the dedicated players who still play BF i think this is a great idea
StormBringer is right in making a place where you can all converge and meet

kudos Stormbringer gather the huddled masses, with their strafing planes and cockpit views and manageable reticules and preserve wats left of the BF1 community

o and dude a suggestion-
if you want to give a sense of continuity to the community, you should put a BF1 players list on your front page with Xfires and player names, that way players could put their names in, and seeing the names of other people who are playing would be encouraged to play themselves
a list on your front page will PROVE to people that Bf1 is not dead
GL man and all the best, heck i might even reinstall BF1 myself to see whos still on

Off-topic : One moment, Teancum : It seems that this dear STORMBRINGER would need additional details regarding what he may have done wrong inside the current thread. Indeed, in spite of the fact the Title of the concerned topic has been entirely written using Capital Letters, I would like to remind his Author not to forget that any Message-Board is usually built apart from external ones and is intended to gather "innovative" contents, which means messages both promoting another web-site and having been inserted in several locations are not accepted on these Forums...
