skinning cis and other units

when i try to skin cis units and imp units like the dark trooper, nothing shows up. So does anyone know the trick to making it show up? By the way i am using gimp.

That's because its transparent. Go to tools/colors/levels, select alpha in the drop down menu, and move the white arrow to the right at the bottom.... thingy with two arrows in it lol

cool. i had the same problem and didnt know how to fix. this helps a lot of my problems with skinning

so after i modified the skin and when i save it should i save the skin without moving the alpha back to normal?

It'd be best to move it back to normal, if you dont some troopers (especially droids) get shiny.

Search CIS skinning tut, or look around the swbf2 modding thread. I posted a tut on how to get it to show up.

this topic is like a month old so I would recommend making a new one, and my suggestion to answer your question would just be to get gimp like most skinners do.anyone know how to do this with adobe photoshop?
