Modify>polymesh>Filter Polygons
Careful with it though, to much, and it will warp your model, but even a small amount of filtering, will cut alot of tri's, while keeping the shape.

I'm trying to make a giant GT sign right now, it's going pretty well, but I cut off a jawa's hands in the making, and would like to know hot to bound the bones and the jawa together so I can cross his arms.

The Seeker Droid is finally complete, it'll be in my map and [hopefully] DMI as well. This is by far the most time I've taken on a texture; the model took a while as well. It's only my third or fourth time texturing a model; it's the first time I've actually taken it seriously and tried to make it look good. Did I succeed?

Nice, although it could look a little morebeat-up, if you ask me.

And if it just rolled off the production lines?

I think it's about perfect. The texture has some darker, scratchier looking parts, and that makes it look not as new. I think it's great, Challenger.

I'm tired of that little ball thing that can shoot an unlimited amount of lasers and blow up bigger than a time bomb.

so heres my last model:
duke's gun from doom the movie:
with texture.
881 polys

but i filtered some, now i have 500 for the purefiltered and 300 for the "lowrez" version
i think of making a new texture, because you can see hardly any (highpoly-)detail on the current one

Dang, that Jedijunkie is back!
(Well, yes, I am. I've had work and reason X to struggle with. Reason X is something personal and I won't tell you what it is. However...)
Now I have started doing stuff I think will be used by everyone (or at least a bunch). A broken AT-AT, now wouldn't that be good for every boy and girl and battlefield? If I get much positive feedback on this one I might do more stuff in the similiar style.

that looks...AWESOME! you should do the BFG next (maybe make a doom based map?)
and as for YouJediJunkie, the idea is great. Crashed/broken vehicles always make good props, cover, etc. the AT-At looks good

Here are a few kitbash EU fighters (the TIE-uglies are from the X-Wing series, and the TIE Vanguard is from the SWCCG):
TYE-Wing:

X-TIE:

TIE Vanguard (reconnaissance):
The textures are different for the two TIE uglies, those are just the base X- and Y- wing textures in XSI.

I know, surprising, but yes, they actually are.
