Voiceovers help

Post by Culvar »

Is there a way to use SWBF1 voiceovers(Republic) in SWBFII that is legal? If so I'd like to know. And if it is legal did the republic VOs come in the SWBF1 modtools?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it'd be legal, they where released (SWBF1 tools), and where made by the same company(s)

Actually, we never got the source files to any of the sounds (only the configuration files for them), so it's not allowed as per the rules.

There's probably something like this in the BF1 readme as well.
I don't know if voiceovers would fall under this, but they seem like "sound effects" to me.

But copyright law gives you the right to use them under certain conditions.
