White Ground?

I'm a modding noob and have a question:

I created a new world with Zeroedit and made a custom .tga file with photoshop (for the ground). I think i put it in the right folder (C:\BFBuilder\DataRog1\Worlds\Rog1\World1 - with "Rog1" being my world)

Then i typed the name of the .tga pic in "texture mode" in the "Texture" field.

The "Tile 0" went white. And when i paint, all gets white and does not show the color of my pic :( I don't want to build a snow map!

Do i need a "tga.option" file? Or what else went wrong?

Sorry if this is a noobish question, i tried a lot to solve the problem myself but with no effect - so your help is aprecciated. :)

you may have a typo or something in the file name in zeroeditor or in the wrong location, it basically can't find the TGA that's why it's white. I strongly recommend going through Sat V's tutorials as a great start to modding SWBF1. Try the lava world one first, that should sort most of your probs:

Thanks for the quick help. It's not a typo but i'm gonna work my way trough that tutorial now. :)

Edit:
I just realized: the ground picture file has to have square measures! Like 512 x 512. Mine was unsquare and it didn't work.

But thanks for your help anyway. The tutorial is fine.

no prob, it covers loads more than just textures so its a good starting point for you (or anyone new). Also check out that you have all the updates to Zeroeditor and BFBuilder Pro. You can get these via psych0fred's site:
