I finished the loadscreens for some maps (coruscant, mustafar) I'm now working on the next once.

Because i don't want to use the delta textures i made some new textures for the sniper, tex und rocketeer. I'll take the same for nedarbs rc. So these are just artwork

The project is paused for the time being. Reason for it are:
1. only little things are absent which are extremely costly, but I would not like to ruin the Mod, while I spar in it.
2. There are things i'd like someone else who is better in it to do them for me (Animations for example). But at the moment i haven't found someone.

I'll may continue when Nedarb has his RC ready and I have made friends with the new GT design.

I can't wait for this... I must ask, is Sev going to be the sniper for all the commandos? In my opinion it would be better to do a black commando or just do the gray. It would be kind of weird playing main commandos for this game. Like I said, looks awesome and can't wait!

Looks great. I would rather the sniper be blue but it doesnt matter. Get work on everything. A total conversion :)

No the riped rc will never be released. Not the source and not in a mod.
It's against the board rules.

we can only convert things that were released as assets to the community. the RC models were ripped.

You may have noticed i wrote some threads with some modding problems, and it's right, i'm back working on this mod.

I know you love pics, so here you go:

You'll never play these RCs because they are ripped, and so i'm not allowed to present a Mod on this board. I realy like this board, so i respect this rule. But i can promise you these screnshots will be part of the loadscreens.
At the Moment I work together with TWINKEYRUNAWAY, so that Nedarb's RC look as good like the originals from SWRC.

But i think even more interesting is what is missing to complete this mod:

1: Shadows
So i need to add some shadows for some units.
Problem about it: ZETools can not import the mando unit correctly. But i may can solve this by hexediting the shadow ;)
The other shadows (trandoshans) i got from thelegend. So good news i just have to put these shadows to the troopers, copy the envelope from the trooper to the shadow, and this is done.

2: Animations
I really wanted some new 1st perspective Animation for Pistols, so they are hold in two hands.
Problem: i'm not good in animations, Good news: zwyx1234 promised me to make these animations, but i haven't heared something from him in the last time.
But i may release this without the animations.

3: Recolored Nedarb's RC
I wrote it above. I'm working with TWINKEYRUNAWAY on new Textures for the rc you'll play in the release Version.

4: Elite Geonosian explosion
I need to make the Elite Geonosian to explode when he dies. Someone here on GT told me how to fix, but i haven't found the time yet.

5: Geonosian it self
I have big problems with the geonosian unit it selfe. Devis wanted to help me to ripp them from SWRC, but he is busy with his own releases (You make a great job with all the assets ;)), so this is a big building lot.

6: Loadscreens:
best thing :D i need to play and make some screenshots to make the loadscreens. But i can only start after the Units are all finished....

7: Firebomb
And than there is the firegrenade. Mav pointed me out how it could work, and this is an other thing i'll be working on the next days.

8: Gamemods:
So AcealusThrone had the idea of TDM and Assassination mod, but i think this will never be made. But if someone wants to please pm me.

9: Music:
I thought of adding some RC music, too. I may do this when i did all above and while waiting for Devis to finish the Geonosian work.



So that's the state of affairs.

TDM Is just Hero Assault rules, instead of xxx_eli, you'll want to make it xxx_tdm. With the v1.3 patch, the icon and name will already show up.

Very nice to hear from you Anakin, glad to see this mod is being worked on once again! The Republic Commando looks really awesome and realistic (IMO). Do you have a release date for this mod or are you just going to release it whenever you feel like this sides mod deserves to be released?

This is unbelievable. I read all the pages in this mod last weekend as I am interested on it, and suddenly now it is continued :runaway: I am so happy hahaha! It looks awesome. I really love the HUD with that new weapon display. And units look very polished and in HD!!! :bowdown:

These two would be awesome. I love Mandalorian music (the one from RC) and it would be great to see the Geo Elite explode!!
