im modeling now som weeks, but im doing something wrong: im building everything out of cubes, speres etc.
its not nice, because every model has to many unnecassery polygons and its not nice to texture.
but how i can model the "right way"?
making models with curves or building them poly-by-poly or deleting the unecassery polys and put thobject together?
can someone please help me?????????

Actually thats the way I do it, bunch of shapes, twist, and move and rotate, etc till its all like I want it, then I texture it piece by piece, then I merge it all into one mesh.
And If it's to high poly, I do a Filter Polygon operation, to see If I can lessen it, without messing up the model, or it's UVs.
(Most of the time it works fine.)
Although there are no doubt some here that take one cube, and use stuff like Boolean, and the tweak tool to make it something awesome, I don't, and I think It would be a pain.

If you have the money to spare, i would definately recommend buying some lessons from
digital tutors. i have a few, and they are very informative and of very high quality. However, they are a little pricey.

I usually like to work point by point. I usually start with one point and start copying and moving them all over the place to build shapes from scratch by connecting the points into polys. Of course, this works for me because that's the way I learned how to do it.
