That's this movie's "thing," as evidenced by the fact that the movie-game tie-in has three modes: robot, car, and armoured car.

I'm interested in seeing where this story goes. There's shunned megatron (his toy is a truck like optimus but with a cape covering his face, there shockwave, who hasn't been shown in depth yet, but is apparently a major villain, and there's the armoured car thing going on. The story of the last movie was much more open for the public before the movie came out, so, I'm surprised. I actually suspect, judging from the "invasion" thing mentioned in the trailers, that optimus establishes an energon bridge with cybertron, explaining the armor updates, and shockwave goes all invasion mode to stop that, and maybe to find megatron. Moreover, I suspect, or at least I'm hoping for some megatron starscream shockwave tension, because all three are extremely important characters and have interesting relationships not looked into by Bay.

Somewhere the Ark plays into that, too. It's all hearsay, but more and more "proof" leads to the Autobot in the trailer becoming Sentinel Prime, as screens of the toy have been released. Once he changes from his protoform he turns into a fire truck and his markings in robot mode are red. Given the scale of what we've seen so far whoever this is will either be a part at the very beginning or at the very end in my opinion.

Oh, and High Moon Studios is doing the video game. They did War For Cybertron, which was amazing. It should have a good chance of being above mediocre.

No more Megan Fox, that's a shame

Meh, she's overrated. The new actress is too, but for Transformers fans she's the original love interest for Sam (aka Spike in the cartoon).

Yes, Megan Fox is no longer in here! I've never have liked her.

Oh well, you guys are fussy. No but seriously, I think this is looking much better than the last film. As long as it's got a good story and lots of action, I'm not too bothered about the love interest.

I am not really a fan of Megan Fox, but I think its stupid and wrong that Sam has a new love interest. I think Bay is ruining the franchise. I wish Steven Spielberg had done them. But, we dont really watch them for the story, we watch them for big robot battles. I love these movies.

I may be wrong, but I think that despite visual incongruities, the new actress is playing the same character as Megan, Mikaela.

If you mean it's the same type of character as Megan Fox's, then yes. If you mean it's the same actual character, then no. She plays Carly.

Yeah, no kidding. If she was playing the same charcacter, that would be beyond nuts.
