Really nice screenies but....the dead clones aren't my taste. The ewok looks good though
I didn't want to make it on a planet that already has a bunch of good maps for it, so I didn't go with Rhen Var. Plus, Rhen Var isn't in Empire at War.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:Cool Map look like great minesanddetpackfun!!!
Why the mak isnt called rhenvar tunnels or something like this.
the clonecommanders and the drenadier looks cool.
Do you could release the assets ??
-Yock- wrote:Authraw, sides aren't everything.
I would suggest you to first make the map to be actually fun without any edited sides, so just after this you should think on making the new sides.
About the mandalorians, I think you should put the jet pack texture back on, cause they don't look like mandalorians without them lol.
Did you already tried to put a snow storm on the outside of the tunnels?
I'm really sorry for the delay on posting, and I won't forget to put your name on my map's credit list
I've also added a poll to the topic regarding unit voices. So should I try to add voices to the Mandalorians and Zann consortium units (at the expense of a much larger filesize) or should I just leave it as-is? Personally, I'm thinking that the extra filesize wouldn't be worth it (it would be several extra megabytes--I'm blindly guessing 20 to 30 more.)POLUS: HIDDEN CAVERN ~ Private Beta #2

|==BUGS SQUASHED==
|* Fixed missing textures
|* Characters no longer can spawn underground
|* Snow no longer covers the bunker
|* Disruptor rifle now fires a white ball instead of a missile
|* Took away most of the Mandalorians' time bombs so that they don't TK each
| other
|* Fixed some bot pathing issues
|* Stormtroopers can now throw their thermal detonators the right distance
|* Removed the defiler's auto turret
|* The Mandalorians now shoot their missiles correctly
|* Spar's jetpack flames now appear
|* Fixed the wrist rocket icon
|* Dark Trooper PIII no longer kneels when killed
|
|==GAMEPLAY/AESTHETIC TWEAKS==
|* Raised reinforcement counts

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
+Issues that remain-----------------------------------------------------------+
|* AI still aren't perfect (and they probably never will be)
|* Bunker is really dark, despite having a lighter texture than the snow
|* Possible gameplay/balancing issues
|* There is one spot where you can see outside through a pillar of ice
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
+Sound Issues-----------------------------------------------------------------+
|==COMPLETELY MISSING SOUNDS==
|* Everything about the droideka
|* One of the clone commanders' guns (Even though it uses the EXACT SAME
| sound files as some of the other guns in that mode that work!)
|* Almost all of the clone commanders' secondary weapons (Even though they use
| the EXACT SAME sounds as those used in the CW Conquest of this map!)
|* Spar's gun
|
|==INCORRECT SOUNDS==
|* Imperials sometimes yell "Tusken Raider!" (I could fix this, but because it
| would require that I make my own empire instead of just using the shipped
| one, which would make the filesize a LOT bigger than neccesary)
|* Dark Trooper Phase II sounds like a regular trooper (again, I could fix it,
| but at a cost to filesize)
|
|==UNITS THAT DON'T TALK==
|* Mandalorians- all
|* Zann Consortium- Grenadier, Defiler, Ewok Slave
|* Clone Commanders- all
|* Luminara, Plo Koon, Quinlan Vos, IG-88, Admiral Thrawn (CAN'T FIX!)
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
NOTE: If you know how to fix any of my missing sounds, PLEASE PM me! I'm out of
ideas. And yes, I followed Rends' tutorial.I can get the AT-ST to work, but
not these sounds.
NOTE 2: I could try to add in voices for most of the units that don't talk, but
it would add a lot to the filesize. Is it worth it?
+Issues that CAN'T BE FIXED---------------------------------------------------+
|* Transparent textures disappear behind Rhen Var ice
|* Jedi, IG-88, and Thrawn are missing sounds/chatter
|* Camera occasionally goes through a wall
|* Spar holds one arm out while flying with the rocket launcher
|* Friendly fire must be on for Ewok to die when he self-destructs
|* Quinlan Vos, Plo Koon, Luminara, IG-88, and Thrawn do not appear if you do
| not have the latest version of the SWBF1 conversion pack
|* Conquest, Galactic Civil War crashes if you have version 1.7.6 of the SWBF1
| conversion pack installed
|* No Mandalorian announcer
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
+WHAT I NEED MY TESTERS TO DO--------------------------------------------------------+
|* Focus on Gameplay and balancing. How could I make the battles more fair, or
| are they fair already?
|* Look for and take screenshots of trouble spots where AI get stuck often
|* Of course, report any bugs you might find
|* Give your advise on the following issues:
| > Is the new Ewok skin better or worse than it was before?
| > Should I darken the snow more?
| > Should I give the Mandalorians their jetpacks back?
| > Should I try to add voices for the characters that don't have them? (WILL
| ADD TO FILESIZE!!)
| > Should I change the sounds for the Dark Trooper Phase II? (WILL ADD TO
| FILESIZE!!)
|
| > If you have any idea what I might be doing wrong when trying to fix my
| missing sounds, PLEASE tell me!

I'm sure that would do it, but I'm not sure why they all had timebombs in the first place. They're kind of useless, if you ask me. I took them out for now--maybe I'll give them something else later.LastJedi wrote:The time bomb can be fixed. It is a hint node issue. You put the mine hint nodes in the map and the time bomb probably uses the same AI name. This can easily be fixed by going into the odf and changing its AI name to something else. (but what?)

Well, they did at one time, but they said things like they were bounty hunters...and they're not bounty hunters. If I decide to make voices for them (not looking very likely) I'll try to make it match as close as I can to Jango and Boba.XxDepredationxX wrote:Wow...the readme looks nice. Can the Mandalorians have Jango and Boba's voice?
I'd rather have mandalorians with jetpacks than without... Jetpacks are cool.authraw wrote:I'm still not sure how I feel about the jetpackless Mandalorians. I think I'll leave them in for the next private beta and see what people think first.
Yeah, jetpacks are cool, but I'm starting to like them without the jetpacks. It's a little more in-line with cannon (not all Mandalorians had jetpacks) and it helps to balance the sides a bit more.ML_916 wrote:I'd rather have mandalorians with jetpacks than without...
