Nice!
seems alittle bare though
you could add some rocks and stuff to the sides and otyher areas that would make it alittle less open

Yeah, I talked to him about that. I am going to fix up the texture, make about 60% of it the night side of the earth (because it would have to be partially in the dark, or you would be standing on the dark side of the moon.)

If I may, here's a little reference on the appearance of Earth from the moon on the lighter side:
It was a simple google search, but I hope it helps none-the-less.

New public beta released.
To those of you who are actually downloading and playing the betas:
The beta being open does
not mean you do not have to actually try to look for problems with the map; simply having fun playing a public beta is not the point of the idea of open betas, the point is so an unlimited number of people can beta test and submit reports and actually take the time to look for problems and submit those problems as soon as physically possible.
With that being said, when you find a problem:
-post
several screenshots of it,
-describe the problem in as much detail as your mind can mentally handle, and
-report even the slightest problem, error, anything that you think looks even a tiny bit off.
By downloading the beta:
-you agree to post a report for any problem, error, glitch, issue you notice, whether it be graphical, technical, mental, etc.,
-you will have just lost the game, and
-you
must state your loss of the game in your report.
Tl;dr (Too long; didn't read): Do
not download the beta unless you will post beta reports.

No.
Anyways, is there anything you guys feel I should add, e.g., neat visuals (yeah, I know, the Lunar Lander), cool gameplay elements, etc.?

That being said, I hope you realize you cannot force people to do this... If people want to download and play this map in a beta stage just for fun, it is not within your power to require them to submit a report. The point of an open beta is to REQUEST help. Not demand it. And that paragraph right there sounds pretty demanding to me. If you want a report from each and every soul that downloads the map, I suggest you either ask for people to reserve beta spots or do what most of the veteran modders do and select people yourself, then ask those people if they would like to beta.

I am aware of this, but it's rude to not report things if they see them, and I am almost positive this happens, and either way, only 15 people downloaded the previous beta and 31 (not bad) downloaded the first. How many reports did I get? Zero, other than a couple of suggestions.

Well, I'm not a modder or anything, just a Battlefront II player, but I think I can give some suggestions. While playing your map, I didn't notice any bugs, except for the anoying one when I tried to play as the rebels (the one you mention on the first post).
In CW, the sides were ok, but I would prefer if the clones had helmets (like the ones that Clone Pilots have), so it would be more realisitic. The Spider Walkers fit the map nicely, as they give an alien feeling, but I would suggest replacing the snail tanks for halfire droids (this is just personal preference, and the map is ok with the snail tanks). The earth in the sky is better than the one in the other beta version, but I prefer the one suggested by The Nasal Abyss.
In GCW, I have to say that the Vader model used here is really nice. However, I would suggest replacing the AT-TE of the rebels (which is a bit anacronic) for TIE Maulers. Maybe the Maulers and the Hovernaut tanks would have some chance against the imperials, because in the current version fo the map I've been able to destroy the AT-TE with the AT-AT three times before I got bored of it. Other than that, the rebel side is well done.
And finally I would like to praise the fact that you were able to name the command posts. It brought me memories of the time when I played Battefront I.

Well that's good,

and that "bug" should be out pretty soon here.
Capitanloco6 wrote:I would prefer if the clones had helmets (like the ones that Clone Pilots have), so it would be more realisitic.
Hmm, I can kind of visualize what you are saying. You mean kind of similar to what the Imperial Pilot has with the oxygen tubes and such?
Capitanloco6 wrote:The Spider Walkers fit the map nicely, as they give an alien feeling, but I would suggest replacing the snail tanks for halfire droids (this is just personal preference, and the map is ok with the snail tanks).
When I chose this map's vehicles I figured it would feel a little too much like Geonosis if I had the exact same vehicles but I could actually change up the Hailfire droid a bit, give it a new, more Luna-like skin, probably change out the rotary gun for something else, etc.
Capitanloco6 wrote:The earth in the sky is better than the one in the other beta version, but I prefer the one suggested by The Nasal Abyss.
The problem with that is the one in the picture is kind of small and more difficult to edit in and it just probably wouldn't look very good, but I'll still try it
Capitanloco6 wrote:I would suggest replacing the AT-TE of the rebels (which is a bit anacronic) for TIE Maulers.
But TIE Maulers are used by the Imperials.

I was actually just looking in psych0's downloads folder for that, and yeah, I will probably use it instead of the AT-TE (I find it interesting that the Imperials have voiceovers that relate to the AT-TE, for example, "It's a Clone walker!").
Capitanloco6 wrote:I would like to praise the fact that you were able to name the command posts. It brought me memories of the time when I played Battefront I.
Heh, yeah.

I just with more maps had it, it really isn't very difficult.
Thank you so much for all of these great suggestions! Welcome to Gametoast and enjoy your stay, it will be a long, long time before you leave...we will make sure of it.... *laughs maniacally*

Well then instead of releasing ANOTHER public beta, why don't you ask for volunteers? That way you KNOW people will download it with the intention of actually testing and giving feedback. And if they don't, then don't allow them to beta test again and find a different volunteer.

I have to agree with Twilight_Warrior on this one. While it would be courteous for people to discuss
issues with the map, they are not required to do so.
EDIT: The map was very well done; I like the idea of adding a tunnel. How about adding a speeder bike inside the tunnel so that it doesn't take over 9000 minutes to get to the other side.
Also, I found the map strangely (this is a good thing) balanced. At the end there was one person per side.

Updated public beta released.
For the next however long, a server called "LUNv0.8b TESTING" will be up to test the map for all who is interested.
EDIT:
Server down now.
