AI help and terrain help

Post by hammythepig »

Can anyone tell me how to fix a problem I have with CPF?
When I play the CW era, there are no AIs.
When I play the GCW era, the terrain is mostly white.
I don't get it.

Are there the same amount of cps in your lua as in your map?

Yes

Um, there where no errors last time I munged.

I now have a problem with turrets.
When I place down turrets they don't appear.

He means your error log, not mungelog. If you have the cd, notr DVD version of the game, copy the battlefront2modtools.exe from you modtools folder to your BF2 gamedata folder. If you have the DVD version, do the exact same thing except with the .exe in the FAQ section of the everything you need to know thread.

As for the turrets, you need to read them in your LUA.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you mean.

How do I do that?

1: in your BF2_modtools folder you will see a .exe called BF2_modtools. If you have the cd version of the game, copy it to your programfiles/lucasarts/battlefront2/gamedata folder. There, double click it and it will start up the debugging version of the game. When you play a map, check the new text document in your gamedata folder for the errors in your map. check the modding thread for what this means. However, if you have the DVD version of the game (like me), go to the FAQ thread and download the BF2_modtoolsNoDVD in a link Teancum posted. Copy that to your gamedata folder and the proccess is the same.

2: it's in the readdatafile section, right below the part where it reads the sides. Dead the odf there, then munge the tur side.
