well that I cant answer right now. I am having technicle difficulties, my game crashes right when its about done loading. :cry: I dont know what I did, I have changed almost everything that I did before it stopped working and no luck so far. I dont know what to do. I even created a new data folder and copied the world, odf, and msh file into it and still no luck. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: I am hoping there will be another version and this isnt the last.

A review for when you pin down the source of the crashing:

Basically, I thought this map is rather well built, but I am encountering a sort of difficulty with the play. The problem is that it's pretty much impossible to gain any significant amount of ground in this map - as soon as you die you lose whatever ground you just gained, and its difficult just to advance because as soon as you shoot down 10 opponents, another 10 simply arrive and take their place before you can even advance.

To solve this problem (this is just an idea) you could perhaps add more command posts so that you can benefit from just having a bit more ground, and have many of those cps spawn vehicles closer to the battle, making it both easier to stay alive and easier to hold ground you have captured. So there are my thoughts - the gameplay could use improvement although the design is great :)

ya i kinda notice that now that you mentioned that and its really true. especially with the CP on the top highway.. that thing really ticks me off. i totally agree that there should be some more CPs. and another thing that i noticed was that it was really difficult to capture the CPs because you had to go really close to the CP. Squirrel you should increase the capture radius (or whatever you want to call it) so you dont have to stand 2 feet away from the CP.

Squirrel, I have been having problems keeping CP for my team, especially when I try to capture them when I have to stay within a small area and that doesn't allow for much movement to aviod shots being fired at me. I do like the improvements you have made for the Republic units, any improvements for the CIS?

With the heros, what about making them like a normal unit class. With a normal health bar instead of the lightsaber health bar. With the normal bar you can atleast pick up health and replinish it when you kill another unit. With the lightsaber bar, you get the same as the normal bar, BUT with so many units shooting at you it deplets to rapidly to keep you alive even when you are killing everyone in sight like crazy. You could have a normal health bar, that regenerates on its own and you can still pick up health, that could help out alot as well.

Those are my thoughts, but it is a great map and it improves on the original 10 fold. It has more action and more effects all in the middle of a huge battle. Good work!

I however forund that I could survive a fall off of the side as a republic engineer; Instead of putting a solid floor; how about water?

hey squirell your still working on this map right? im really looking forward to a new version and i think everyone else is too. I wouldnt want this map to die on all of us. a map as great as this could really help start bring back the mod community and such.

thnks for the suport guys, and I have been working on if for awhile now, I just never posted that I got it to work again. My original plan was to add a republic venator and the IH up above the map and have a space battle go on over head., but the AI dont know the meaning of height and barriers, my atte started to go in the opposite dirrection because It detected the IH behind it even thought there was a wall there and it was 500000000 feet aboce the battle. So no space part. I have fixed the ATXT guns so there not blocks, I have lighting, and some animations,
Note: I am new to animation so there not that good. I am working on the stuff that I mentioned in my readme for 1.5 that would be out for 1.7, or what ever... I dont have a release date set, I am thinking of increasing my map. thnks everyone!!!!!!!! :D

OK I am just going to post here if I have questions on my map, I am actually going to work on my map becasue today and tommorow are half days, here is a progress report, well actually its just a screen shot! I just want to syke u guys up for 1.7! I am having trouble with domes, If I add the the gunship dome to my sky file, the game crashes. does anyone know why?

Well, he doesnt need to make 1.6 as a version. He couldskip 1.6 and go to 1.7, but it would be confusing.

wait... so do u want me to call it 1.6 or 1.7? or should I just skip 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.9 and name it 2.0?

if u r making more then 1 new version then 1.6. IE, if u make 1.6 then u can make 1 or more. The last version u make should be called 2.0 or FINAL.

..but didnt squirell skip from 1.0 straight to 1.5? it sounds like it did anyway, and you should name it 1.7 i think because its kinda halfway between 1.7 and 2.0 and after 1.7 you should read feedback, do what you want then release the final.
