It doesnt even look like bf2....... looks like a new game. The texture quality is great. So are the models.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
Those walls really need some kind of definition to them beyond texture. I hope you have some serious normalmapping going on there (or something to give them definition with shadows), otherwise they really stand out against the detail of the rest of the scene.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:due to a few technical issues and mainly my lazyness there hasnt been too much progress in the last week (except for andeweget making more awesome textures of course)
because there isnt yet more "new" stuff to show we thought we simply post a screenshot of one area of the map. it's been a bit redesigned, but its not hard to see where it is( if one know the ma from rc)
so..well....enjoyHidden/Spoiler:

EDIT: --sentence removed-- for my own good I better not say that.THEWULFMAN wrote:Except for the walls, I would say beyond Pandemic quality.Cerfon Rournes wrote:Wow. The models look like Pandemic quality. Great work guys!
The only thing is the big pillars that go from side to side across the walls. They look like they could be a bit... I dunno... they just don't fit in.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
There Wulf I edited my post, just for you
@duck and aqt: is there a way you can "Hi-Rez-ify" the planet in the background? Everything looks so awesome but there is that big pixely/fuzzy planet in the background. I guess just take a hi-rez pic of earth or something and throw it in there.

Doesn't even matter if it's green and blue or not; the level in RC didn't have a planet at all. Just a massive Lucrehulk.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
Looks really nice.
I'd make the lighning a bit darker though. Space is really dark. It was kinda dark in RC aswell if you're going after that.

I do not Concur,
I think the brighter light works, and it helps with gameplay.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
Well, I don't mean to make it totally dark. Just a tad darker. So that it doesn't affect the gameplay.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
thanks for the commentsand criticism!
the lighting was darker before but aqt made it a bit brighter now. i think it looks better now because when the lighting was darker, the highlights werea bit too bright.

Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
That's the stock planet model with edited stock textures. I don't it is lowrez... is it? Regardless, it doesn't look that bad, I think.CalvaryCptMike wrote:@duck and aqt: is there a way you can "Hi-Rez-ify" the planet in the background? The Lucrehulk only literally shows up in Extraction mode. In all other modes, you either randomly get that aforementioned planet (Corellia, since the Prosecutor was tasked with defending trade routes near it) or a field of stars and nebula clouds (the Chaykin Cluster, where it was rediscovered).Lagomorphia wrote:Doesn't even matter if it's green and blue or not; the level in RC didn't have a planet at all. Re: RAS Prosecutor: Hangars
Looks amazing, I agree that the walls are a bit abnormal, but I don't see anyway to change it.
(oh, btw, this is a bit "surpasing" Pandemic, but just for how they made the models for this game originally.)
I like! 4 Thumbs Up!
