Simple, but I think it makes some positive changes to the game.
Complete
-The Super Battle Droid has been replaced with the standard Battle Droid.
-The assault droid and pilot droid's blaster pistol now use the model of a blaster rifle, blaster rifle sound effect and visual blaster rifle ordnance. The stats are still the same and the weapon is one slot in front of the rocket launcher and radiation launcher. Uses rifle icon rather than pistol.
-Low res models will match new skins
-New first person models to match new skins
To Do
-Some maps will use the Geonosis Battle Droids rather than the Standard ones.
-Localization Changes (Fitting unit names)
-Completion of addme file
Progress: {

The regular droid is still called a super battle droid.

Or are you not on localization yet

The localizations will appear once the addme.lua file is completed and munged. I love the Battle Droids, i've read every B1, OOM and B2 article on Wookieepedia. I think I know enough to get this done right.

That looks pretty cool! I look forward to it's completion.
Oh and if you want more downloads or just more people to know about this project post about it on swbfgamers.com. Since they are primarily a SWBFI site.

Me too.

Regular battle droids have always been my favorite star wars characters.

Though I find b2s to be pretty boring.

The B2's wont be included in the mod.

I hated that one scene in episode 2 where the B2 Super Battle Droid knocked down the damaged B1

But I thought it would help to know a bit more about the different variants of Battle Droids, so I read the B2 articles.

Poor little B1, he could have lived!!
Back to topic, just finished adding low res models for each skin type using hex editing (Standard, Geonosis, Red, Blue, Orange, etc) and added the correct first person models for Geonosis and Standard skins.
Edit: More Images!
Because this mod has already broken online compatibilty due to a unit replacement, what would you guys think if I added a balanced Super Battle Droid to a few maps instead of the Droideka? (550 Health, same blaster rate of fire and damage as Droideka repeaters, slow movement and scaled model)

Off Topic:I did not like that scene either
On topic:A balanced SBD for some levels would be Great.I have got to try this.

If you're going to do any model editing, it would be really cool if you changed the b1 head to be narrower. I always annoyed the potato chip out of me that the heads were really fat even though they were thin in the movie.

But I know that would take a lot of extra time, importing into xsi, changing it, exporting it, etc., I don't know if you could do it with hex editing. It would still be really cool.

There are multiple area's I'd like to fix on the Battle Droid model. Skin errors, model disproportions, and I'd really liked to create a re-mapped one like the community did with the remapped clone trooper so the skins can be a lot more interesting. I've never worked with XSI though...

I'm not so hot at xsi either, but I'm slowly learning. I know how to move points! And do basic texturing but not uving and all of that. Anyways, you might be able to learn a little bit if you gave Mod Tool a try and follow
THIS tutorial to the letter like I did. It was my first model. After that I was able to learn more.

If you learned it would be a great bonus to have this mod have corrected soldiers.

Just so you know, Battlefront 1 doesn't have online anymore. (I think)
