Mustafar Valley v2.0 Released!!!!

Version 2.0 of my map is a great improvement over the previous versions.
To see all of the new features, you can see the map in the WIP forum HERE

Features/Changes:

Totally new layout, with 5 cps instead of 4 in the default configuration.
Bot planning has been added (stupid AI *shakes head*).

Vehicles are the same as the original version, but R5 repair droids are at the cps that spawn vehcles.

I have added Health and Ammo droids at each command post, except for the Volcano.

I have also added Teancum's Reconand commander units.

Clone trooper skins should be normal in this version, but I might release a patch to give them Dragon93's Lava trooper skins :p.

The clone commander's chaingun has the rifle's ordinamce, but the same firerate. :twisted:

I made a new hero with a new combo, Jai Maruk.

Added Hero assault to the map, with a different CP configuration to tighten up the battle. Jai Maruk is in it as well.

Bugs:

On GCW, the alliance's recon and commander unit's pistols do not work, I cannot fix it however, only Teancum can.

There is no lava on the Volcano, I'm sorry but it just cannot be done, but there is a deathregion in the caldera (crater) and down the mountain where the lava flow should be. Watch it!

On the third part of Jai Maruk's combo, only the top half of his body moves, Again, I don't know how to fix this, I have tried many different things. I think it is because it was meant for mace windu's model, but It is not on that model now.

You can Download Mustafar Valley v2.0 In .rar format here.

Installation:

Extract everything in Mustafar_Valley_2.0.rar to the desktop.

Now, you will see two .zip Folders, TST and Side. extract the contents of TST into the addon folder, there should be a folder named TST in there now.

Then extract the contents of SIDE to TST\data\_LVL_PC. There should be a folder in there named SIDE.

Run BF2, and play my map! Enjoy!! :D

Edit:

The patch for the lava trooper skins is out now!!

Installation:

First backup the rep.lvl nad repshell.lvl, do this by renaming it or moving it to another folder.

Extract the contents of SIDE.rar to TST\data\_LVL_PC\side.

You should now have rep.lvl and repshell.lvl in there.
Run BF2, and play my map! Enjoy the skins!! :D

Two bugs on startup:

The map has no name. Took me a long while to find it on the maplist >.<.
The map crashes about three seconds in. And I don't mean crashes to desktop, I mean crashes the whole PC so I have to reboot it.

I'll try the patch and see if it makes it any better.

Looks like a decent map, maybe a little plain, though. It looks like Tohron has added lava to his upcoming Geonosis map, as seen here: http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/ ... ess/F3.jpg

Maybe you can get a little help from him with the volcano and lava flow. Also, what happened to the new skin for Maruk? Might have to download later, but the big file size is kind of a deterrent. By the way, I like the yellow visor on the Jet trooper. :P

Run the modtools.exe and tell me what comes up in the log. Runs fine for me, though. Are you using any side mods? did you download the 1.7 BF1 conversion pack? do you have Zereted's common and shell.lvl?

@Insaniac - That's a shipped odf from the Mustafar map, It has terrain in it that doesn't fit. The new skin for Jai Maruk is in there, it's just an old screenshot.
The patch changes the Jet trooper's Visor from yellow to red, I think it looks better. Don't thank me, thank Dragon93

Yes I have [RDH]Zerted's common and shell .lvl files, yes I have the 1.7 BF1 conversion pack and no I'm not using any side mods. Here's the log (or the important bits anyway):

Hebes24 I am wondering if you will continue updating this map as I have yet to send you the updated Jai Maruk skin, along with several other skins to include in Hero Assault mode.

I get none of that. is there a infantry.lvl in Gamedata\Data\_LVL_PC\SIDE?
Sorry Rekubot, but the patch was just a side update to give the reps the Lava trooper skins.

@Darth_Maul - I will continue to update this Star Wars Battlefront II Modification, so I would be very appreciative if you would send me said skins via Personal Message. ( :wink: )

What do you have in there that makes the file size so large? This is disappointing for me because I'm stuck using a laptop, and I don't have the largest HD in the world, so I have to be conservative with how I use my disk space.

Yes, if all you're doing is replacing some skins, it shouldn't be 230 mb. Did you just copy/paste the entire republic side into a custom side?

Yes, but I recently deleted al the unneccisary content from it and it is still huge.

Did you do a clean, then munge? In your data_*** folder how large are the "Worlds" and "Sides" folders? Your map shouldn't be larger than them combined (usually).

Check your rep.req, repshell.req, cis.req and cisshell.req for unnecessary stuff. It worked for me.

Yeah, i just did that and they're all a bit smaller, but I customized almost everything for the sides, so It's still big.
