Interesting indeed, might be a bit difficult to master but it sounds cool

it's... different.

I've read on multiple occasions that Sakurai is aiming for about 40 characters. I don't know whether or not that's official but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true since we already have a whopping 23 starter characters. It might actually be 22 though because I've heard rumors that Snake isn't a starter.

I hope Snake and Sonic are unlockable.
Olmar is sooo awesome!
I read a long time (yeah again) that Sakurai didn't want like same amount as that DBZ fighting game with over 130 characters. I think he said no more than 50.

50 is a very reasonable number. Anything bigger than that is just taking things too far. It reminds of those borderline-retarded wish lists you see where they try to include every single Nintendo character plus a few other characters from out of no where.

it's fun to look at that picture and laugh when one of the characters are now in.

Super_Shadowman wrote:Hey, I just realized something... If Sonic is in this game, that means that Shadow will probably be in it as well. And we all know that Shadow = Freezer/Vegeta ripoff = Mewtwo. So we'll get our Mewtwo after all!
I doubt Shadow will be in, Snake was the first third-party character, and he is not getting any characters from the MGS games, just Gray Fox as an assist trophy.
But only time will tell, I mean, who the hell was expecting Captain Olimar?

a small group of people. They talked about it over at the Nintendo.com forums when it was still up.
I think if any other Sonic character gets in and is playable it would be Tails or Knuckles. I don't Shadow would. If he does he'd be an assist trophy. Plus Shadow would be a clone of Sonic and I think no clones are allowed in Brawl.

I bet there's a Shadow color scheme for Sonic, much like there was a Wario scheme for Mario in Melee, and a Daisy skin for Peach.

Not by adding Shadow; no clones

The whole Twilight Change thing has been proven fake. The rest is correct though. You'll probably get more info from smashboards.com.

It's been delayed
AGAIN!
Sakurai wrote:Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.
I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.
****ing hell.

Agreed ++. Not good. At least it'll give me a little more time to work on some of my other Wii games, which I rarely get around to. I've still got to beat Harry Potter (warning: do not buy, tremendously tedious) and I've got an unopened Twilight Princess I'm thinking about exchanging for Mario Galaxy.

Ahhhhh bummer...
Oh well.... Nothing we can do about it.
Has any game ever been released in time recently?

I don't really mind, people get all angry and go "**** Nintendo [insert 1337 speak that flames nintendo here]"
They're just working on improving the game, though it's strange that the delay is only on a week more in Japan, while it delays for a month in the US, just hope we get it the same time as people in the US, here (Europe owns you!

)
EDIT: Since I made a new page, be aware that the current discussion is about the new Brawl delay in the US: March 9th
