The Seeker Droid I made a while ago. I was browsing through my XSI files, and saw this, and remembered that
Rep had wanted it for DMI, so he put it ingame, and that was the result. I'll post wireframes later.

I made a model of a Panzer IV. Its poly-count (not tri-count) of 6.3K (about 2K of which is taken up by the bogies and rollers and another 2K by the sprocket and idler wheels - eek) irks me though...
What geometry should I remove? (except the suspension - I want to keep those on...)

Maybe make a lot of those circles less round (like instead of 8 edges, 5 or 6) You won't really notice it ingame. (and I know it'll be a pain to replace all those cilinders)

I'm no expert, but I would say to reduce most of the cilinders number of sides by up to a third or half depending on the number of sides
because once you pass a certain "limit" number on circular sides the graphic result ingame
is no better than that limit number.
This number is around 6 to 10 I'm guessing depending on the object and it purpose, size, texture, etc...
I'm not totally sure what I'm talking about

lol

Nice tank.
And instead of modeling the sprockets, you could have a flat cylinder with a sprocket texture. You could even use your high res sprocket model to render the texture for the low res one.

Animated Sculpture, the rings spin around..
wires:
May go into the
Dynamic Map Project as either my sculpture, or one that goes in the center of the main street intersection.

I am back.
Long ago, I showed you some progress on my Turbo Laser Turret, and I am prone to brainstorming and sometimes not having enough concentration to finish my models (Corellian Gunship is still on hold, as well as a new Quasar Fire Class Bulk Cruiser), but now I think the basic modeling of my turret is complete.

Now there is one thing, I obviously need to add some nulls and prepare it for someone else who can:
1.- Work with textures (I can put them, but I am still unable to understand how to put some bump map and stuff.)
2.- Rework the nulls if needed (So I will have all groups outside of DummyRoot for checking.)
3.- Most important, export to MSH so everyone in GT and SWBFII modding community can use it.
4.- Preferably someone who can make an ODF to use it. XD

So that when it gets bones to pivot on the X axis it will be rotating at the center of the turret and not at an offset so that it can shoot straight up. Otherwise it'll have an area in which someone could dive straight down at it and the turret would be helpless. =o
Anyone make one of these yet? Got an older version from a friend of a friend so I'm thinking of putting a few older things in game.

maveritchell made one but not with new texture
it looks great but the plates on the texture are outlined a bit too strong in my opinion and the whole thing looks extremely dirty (i hope you appreciate the criticism)

Fixed, an ODF will do the rest, although I think turrets are supposed to have a blind spot, anyway, I'll probably just check the scale and then export the lower part since it is basically the build pad (like in EaW), I hope to give it a good texture, it would be great for many maps and my Death Star project.

Yeah I think the body paneling is OK cause it's in a different resolution from being a different texture, I think if I just change the wing to match it'll look alot better.

WOW, nice one ForceMaster, You are actually as good in modelling as Pandemic.
I like the skin except the commandbridges "glass", because I think the Acclamator doesn't have any cockpit windows
