Animation isn't...animated...

I want to add an animation to my map, so i decided to test one first. I filled everything out correctly but when i test my animation, the fighter object stays in its original place for a few seconds, then instantly jumps to the end point of the animation. My animation lasts for three seconds, and the object must travel about ten feet(compared to a bf2 guy). Im sorry but i cannot supply screenshots. Please give me advice if possible. Thanks.

is the animation set to pop, or smooth (i forget what the options are called) but there are a few, one just "pops" the object over like you described, one moves at a constant rate and one (or two?) will move it slower at first but then speed up and slow down again at the end nice and smooth.
