May be a real weapon. But that M249 would make a great heavy blaster for Imperial/Republic forces. If you look at it a certain way.

Qdin its M-249 not M2-49

And ... i dont think it makes a great sw blaster, but otherwise the model is pretty cool.

Doofi, what are you talking about?

I've only had bevel TWICE on the model xD and with that I mean a... well - kinda 'lvl 1' Bevel on 2 meshes: the Ammo-thing and where that body-support-handle is. That's all...

@Qdin I like! I like! I’ve been thinking of doing some WWII guns etc. I don’t see a problem with the amount of polys but hopefully you won’t have any tolerance issues. When my stuff’s ploys are that close together, like on the gun barrel, they main not show up in-game.
Hopefully that won’t happen. Does it import to XSI nicely?

Vyse, if you get the fbx plugin on autodesk's site, stuff imports from Maya to XSI flawlessly. The entire Nelvaan map was converted this way.

Here is an experiment (well playing around at least) that actually worked, I am a rookie with XSI
so I am rather pleased how it turned out. It is a little darker in "real" life.

I got it ingame, the turrets work fairly well, hard to tell ebcouse i haven't texture the ship, its just white, but the two turrets fire
problmes:
Both turrets are ontop of the ship
polygons have dissappeared ingame

Ohhhhhh okay. Couldn't it be possible to make it a vehicle though. Changing the odf and editing it in XSI a little could do it right? Im not very good at this whole modelling thing. Anyhoo, it's still a very nice model.
