The Ep3 Visual Dictionary lists this as a DC-15S variant of the standard clone rifle; it's a lot smaller than the DC-15A but I would say it's bigger than an E11. The design is definately meant to echo the Stromtrooper rifle, it has the same folding stock and similar cooling fins on the barrel but lacks the top scope and has a different trigger guard which to me looks like it was designed to make it easier to cast as an action figure accessory ...something about it reminds me of some of the great wepons that came with the Star Wars action figures
