Small Crisis, need help (File Uploading Service)

Post by SBF_Dann_Boeing »

ok I am having real trouble finding a place to upload my files, so far i have tried ihud, yousendit, savefile, and rapidshare. none of these are reliable upload sources. Also, when I try uploading my file as an email-attachment or upload directly to gametoast, i always get "page cannot be displayed" when i click to upload. I am really frustrated...and I'm wondering where there is a RELIABLE free upload site, that i can use, or if there is a solution to the errors ive been getting uploading directly to gametoast.

some people get the errors here while other dont ive looked into it , maybe its an ie thing but still not sure. if you can xfire allow for sending files its if possible to get files to teancum, as he now has fill ftp permission on the site.

I used to do the uploading but with so many sites, so many and so many people updating their same maps over and over it was literally impossible to manage it. If you can contact rends, teancum or anyone on gt1 clan team , they all have some sort of gt ftp access and can at least get the files localized for you. Sorry its a pain but the uploader issue has been nothing but a pita.

lev, that seems pretty on topic to me...anyways, do you know what the difference is between regular yousendit and the beta version you've linked to?

the beta is even less reliable, i tried uploading there and like 30 minutes later the link didnt work.

i tried using badongo, which seems to work ok, but its sometimes hard to find the download link, so i still need a good upload site, or at least a way to fix the problem with the gametoast upload option

Well, in that case, have you tried all "Storage places" listed in this Google results page ? :|
dread', BETA YouSendIt can host all your files during about two weeks, and twenty-five users can now download them... Also, you can access to statistics regarding all your uploaded items, such as the current number of downloads, etc...

You should also look into Mozilla Firefox. As Guru suggested, it may just be an IE thing, as it's not a very reliable browser.

I would say it depends on the Internet Explorer version you're talking of... Indeed, Windows Internet Explorer 7 seems to be more "reliable" than all other previous releases of Microsoft's Internet Browser...
