Preventing Force Sprint

I having some difficulty trying to prevent one of my melee units from using the force sprint. I know its possible for melee units to use the regular sprint, since Jendo7 or KinetosImpetus was able to do it with the BX commando droid in Jendo's Tatooine: Outpost map. I've looked over the BX's odfs, but I haven't found anything... I tried giving the melee weapon the BX sword's combo file, but that didn't work. Does anyone know how it was done?

Always ask yourself if you are trying to change what something does or what something simply looks like it does. In this case, are you trying to change the speed of the sprint or are you trying to change what it looks like? What is the one thing that differentiates the appearance of a melee unit from a regular unit?

I was referring to the sprint animation itself.

And how do you change an animation...?

I mean you know how when a saber wielding hero sprints, they do this jump-like motion? That's what I'm trying to change. The unit I mentioned earlier sprints normally.

Try looking through the animation sets and look for relevant animations.
Ooh! I found one:
human_rifle_sprint_full
Try munging a new animationset. (I think DarthD.U.C.K. has a tutorial if you need it.)
You can replace human_sabre_sprint_full.
EDIT: correctedDarthD.U.C.K.'s name
