yea same with me and i want to know how did he use the dome as a starship.... I tested it and the troopers fall straight down because it isn't an boject and does not have a base...

Dome? He use imperial star destroyers and mon calamari crusiers. While we are talking about this map, if its quick and easy now, make a new version with destroyable ships! (And the tie interceptor!)

Rends did say it was a map just for fun, he didn't really say he would be upgrading it. Rends is on vacation anyway.

I'm making a map consisting of Destructable Command Ships... And the map without delay might be out next month. And of course. like me, all my maps r only clone wars.

im making a space map too (as all of you have probably guessed) and it gonna be awesome, with my capital ships and prop ships everywhere lots of fighters and each command ship has one command post in it: either a bunker or a hoth shield generator! as i said LOTS if fighters, and then theres all new units!

nvm it cant be done. It is Impossible to make something a prop AND a command Post at the same time (Destructable Command Post)

You can make almost any object into a destroyable command post. What object are you trying to use? In my Savannah Prime map, I made a Correllian Transport into a destroyable command post. It's on the ground but you can have them in the air, and elevate the spawn points on top.
If you wait, new capital ships will be out with internal hangers ( I am working on this, and I believe L-5-R is as well )

hey guys, JUST so you know it:
The Mandalorian Wars Crew (me also

take a look at
http://www.shadowlan.org) we're making some RAS as Vehicles - AND with destructable Turrets. the vehicle is gonan be a CP itself, and then we're gonna make the CP into the RAS, so when you destroy the RAS, the CP is DEAD

lol
but we're gonna make a Hangar to the LAAT's and the Star Fighters. because we're gonna make a new Geonosis map. only strikes from air, and ONLY Transporters to land with the Soldiers, hehe
but We'll report later. but should we tell you when we have done all thoose things like making the RAS into a vehicle? and making such things? well, you can jsut check it out sometimes
but I think that was all for now

and we're just began the project, so we are still planning the turrets, lol

Why don't you use one of these "
obsolete tools", like
LVL Extractor, to extract all
DirectX Texture Files (*.DDS) out of
Rends' map ? After, you'll just need to convert them in *.TGA using
nVidia Texture Tools...

Yes but that wouldn't be very nice, especially if he made the textures himself... asking his permission is fine, but just taking it out of his map without his permission is in my opinion no better than piracy.

If u just email rends and ask nicely I'm sure he'll let u have it... I asked him about his bounty team... and he said it was available to dl neway and gave me the link!

Not so, using these tools to get Pandemic textures out, and other such public domain textures I have no problem with. However, hypothetical situation: Rends makes Space Map, he spends a couple hours making textures for it... he releases the fully compiled map for everyone's enjoyment... and then, someone extracts the textures that he has worked so hard on, and uses them for their own map, WITHOUT permission.
I lose my respect for people who undertake such actions.

The sky i used is a modifed version of a free sky texture i found on the internet.

the original Dome version had a bubble collision. I swapped the ODF entries to a prop buildings instead of a flyer so the actual 3d model is the collision object.
And if you ever played Bounty Hunters Tibana Gas map you may have noticed that all CPs are destroyable.
