You need to help us so we can help you. We need to know exactly what you did, and how you did it. I would suggest posting an error log so we can diagnose the problem.

forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=13806

Question 4 is what you need to do to get an error log.

Read question 4 from The Faq/Everything you Need to Know Thread(click the color).
Download the modified version of the Debug .exe. Place the .exe in

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
or

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
or if you have the steam version of the game its

Code: Select all

C:\program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
or

Code: Select all

C:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
One of those locations should work. Then, launch the BF2_modtoolsNODVD (or very simmilar name) and play your map. Close your map, or, if it crashes, thats fine too. The error log will be in one of the above locations or it will be in

Code: Select all

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
or it will be located in

Code: Select all

C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData
The error log will be called BFront2.txt. Open it with notepad. Copy and paste its content here. Post it in hide tags then we will be able to examine it and help you from there.

Re-read my post. Where is your starwars battlefront 2 installed to? Second, if you read my post, you would know how to fix the binkw32.dll error. I didnt say that putting the .exe in the previous locations fixes the problem outright, but it was to be assumed.

Do you have the CD for the game? If so, use that version, and insert the CD. Im not sure what your problem is anymore, it should work by now :?

Click ok to close application Edited: ok now i got it to work but every time i start the download for BF2 Debug version to install it. It closes like 1 second after i start it

thats progress. Good job. Can you play the game normally? post the contents of your addme.lua, along with your BFront2.txt error log.

You need THIS, it is a fix for the problem you are having, but after you install the fix, any map you made beforehand is bust and you need to make a new one.
