Kashyyyk Forest - Update

Ok, well here it is, about 80 - 90% completed, and it's also my first map :runaway:! It's nothing special, but I think it's not that bad! Well, compared to the other amazing maps being released....! Please note the GCW will not be changed in the first release of this map. I'm working on it.

Kashyyyk Forest is a small, lush Forest, located just West of the infamous Beach Head on Kashyyyk.
The Forest has a small opening, which contains an old Wookie village, which was eventually sunken into the sand by the powerful forces of the river. Now, the water is stopped by a old and decaying bridge, which is the only bridge for a long way.
General Grevious has deployed a small decoy of troops to hunt down a group of Clones, apparently located on the other side of the Forest. This will result in a battle, and the sunken village is right in it's path....
Sides:
Clones: Camo Trooper, Heavy Trooper, Clone Scout, Forest Medic, Clone Commander, Jet Trooper, (still to come) Wookie Enforcer, Forest Captain, Kit Fisto
Droids: Battle Droid, Assault droid, Assassin Droid, Droid Medic, Super Battle Droid, Droideka, (still to come) B-1 Droid Commander, Fire Commander (may possibly be taken over by General Grievous), Mandalorian Hunter.
Vehicles: Clones: IFT-X, and 2 BARC Speeders. I want to reskin them.
CIS: 2 SnailTanks, 2 STAPS and Dward Spider Droids (perhaps, I can't get them to work)
Sides: 80% - Still have to localize them all. I have no idea how to do that! I've also got to create Forest Captain and Wookie Enforcer, and sort out a floating weapon glitch on the mandolorian hunter.
Locals: 100%, Wookies Done! .
Map: 90 - 95% I've pretty much finished with the map. There isn't much more to add.
Other: 50% (Loading screen, etc)

Thanks. I also need to change the default sky, and maybe have a few gunships flying around on the dome.

wow looks really good for a first map just 3 things you could do to really make this good change the default sky (which it looks like you're planning to do), darken the terrain right now it's really to bright and also add ambient lighting from the pics you showed the lighting looks default maybe change it to a gray light down (128, 128, 128) then a forest green directional facing up. Based on object placement though this looks great

Pretty much all I had to say (although I'm not sure the green lighting would be appropriate - I'd say just make the lighting darker overall).

when i say green i mean more of a green/gray not like this but more like this but maybe a tad lighter and more gray

And I have to say that that does work very well for a forest climate. I tried on my map and it gave the whole map a more kind of "dense foresty" feel to it.

The map looks great though, but, as has already been stated, the sky looks like it needs to be changed. Great overall though. :thumbs:

I will change the sky and lighting tomorrow morning (I don't quite know HOW to change lighting, but I will do it!), and post some new screenshots. Do you think I should add any vehicles?

I like it! The flying ships maybe hard, because of (of course), the trees.
The Rest sound great though! Does anyone know where I can get the assets for a Dwarf Spider Droid? I've seen it in a lot of maps, and it will suit the forest.

New Screenshots added!!! I've been having some problems today :(, which I will post in the modding section, paticularly with the sky, which is not changing no matter what I do, and also with adding the ATTE. I have however, made a start on my vehicles (see screenshots), and changed a few cp's around. Without further ado, here they are:

(Note, Kit Fisto won't actually be ingame, as I'm not having heroes, and I downloaded Mav's version, so therefore cannot give him points to unlock.)

Also note, there is also an IFT-X which I added, and 2 STAP's for the droids, and barc speeders, which i could do with reskinning for the clones. I have not included pictures for these, as I have not got any forest skins. Sorry about the delay.

Sure you can, add this line in the lua right after you load him with the dc: call:

I will do that. He is going to replace the Wookiee Captain, mentioned in the readme. I think two playable wookiees maybe a bit boring. I will give credits to all the people who made the skins and other stuff when i beta release the map.
