Training Ground RELEASED - Have a nice day earning medals!

readme:

This map was made for training only. You will have no fun with it unless you throw some grenades.

How to train: Keep shooting with a weapon untill your earn the medal desired, then wait 30 seconds and respawn.

Repeat as many times you want. If you don't want to continue with the training, throw grenades to kill as many
rebels/droids as possible.

Don't jump the wall unless you want to die.

THE MEDALS ARE ONLY KEPT IF YOU WAIT THE MATCH TO RESTART.Then you can quit.

It's unfairly easy to win the 85 (am I right?) medals needed to keep the award foerever.




Install Instructions:
Unzip the folder and place it in your Addon file


Have a nice train!

Earning medals? :P

I played it and I must say it's quite fun. I had to erase my profile a while back and this near instantly gave me a ton of medals. Nothing beyond guardian is elite yet, but it'll take but a moment...

I suggest that you expand the content a bit more for a final release. How about adding some vehicles that can't move or shoot? (for slicing and critical hitting) I'm pretty sure that you can do that in the lua...or at least not moving. Not sure about shooting, but you could always have them spawn right in front of another of those 1 way walls.

The vehicles would be easy. Just create AT-ST or AT-AT (used because of easy critical location) spawns, some assigned to either team, edit their .odfs to have a movement speed of 0, set it to reserve one for the player (reserveoneforplayer = 1) so that there was always an empty one, and remove the weaponsection in the vehicle .odf. In fact, you could basically do the same for units, make them immobile and only have fusioncutters or something.

I would have to say the old name was much better. I thought about making a map like this but I was to busy wiht other ones. :roll:

Maveritchell, why would the player need one? You don't get any awards for shooting down vehicles. And if they don't have weapons, the point is even more moot.

The player is reserved one so that no one gets in it and starts shifting it around. It's harder to hit the critical hit location that way. I know, I'm lazy.

The vehichle idea sounds good(I can never get enough criticals to get the award rockets.). I just palyed this and it was really good(for awards):) I like it because i'm trying to make a file with all awards and then one with none(cause awards can crash some modded maps). So this will really help me. THANK YOU!

I made this map just to get the award pistol when I spawn, then I realized that some of you guys would like the idea...
