Hey GT. It is very rare these questions haven't been asked before, but it couldn't them anywhere so here we go...
1) How do you get a sketchup model ingame? (This includes converting it to an ODF or some file that can be loaded into zero edit.)
2) What is the best ver. of sketchup I should use. I have sketchup Pro (EVA.) right now.
3)Also how do you get a softimage XSI model ingame?
4) What is the best ver. of Softimage to use (I have the autodesk 7.5)
I kinda feel dumb asking them, but I couldn't figure it out.

1.)

2.)Sketchup 7, Pro or not Pro does not matter.
3) Check the stickies up top for more on that
Off-Topic:
Can someone add CommanderFett's tutorial to the sticky so I don't have to search for it everytime someone needs it?

The model files are the mshs. Odfs are object definition files, not the model itself.

So I think I am going to remove pro and I am getting ready to install 7. Should I just have Softimage XSI 6 or should I have 7.5 too? Also thanks for link

For XSI you need the full version (Foundations, Essentials, Advanced) and it has to be ver 4.2- 5.11, with it being 5.0-5.11 for character models. This is because the Pandemic addon only works with those versions, except for a few rare instances where it will work with 6.0-6.1.
It will not work with the ModTool or XSI 7 or higher at all.
All other 3D apps need to export to a XSI ModTool readable format and then re-export to .xsi for use with Rep's MeshEx. Blender can also use Tipam's Mesh Viewer to convert .vmrl to .msh.

So I guess I should unistall 7.5 and get 6.0 and get trials of 5.0-5.11 to convert to game. Also, do buildings you do in sketchup and you convert to XSI have to be in ver. 5.0-5.11 to get into the game? Because in the tutorial it says you only need 6.0 to convert to game.

MshEx can convert models from any version of XSI to the .msh format.
