KOTOR Doesnt work!!!!!!!

My version of Knights of the Old Republic has not been working since I upgraded my computer to Windows XP, now when I start it up it says "serious error:Program could not be opened".
HELP MEEEEEE!!!!!!!

All I can think is to reinstall the OS, then install KOTOR. KOTOR should work perfectly on XP. Maybe you meant Vista?

Hmmm. Took me about 20 minutes to do a full install of Vista...but the upgrade took 7 hours.
If you don't mind reinstalling the OS, that's what I'd try. Seriously.

Reinstalling the OS seems a bit extreme...
Unless he's been messing around in his win32 folder, it shouldn't be necessary.

Kinda worked for me. Upgraded to Vista, SWBF2 didn't run. System crashed, clean installed same copy of Vista on new hard drive, semi-works.
But there should be no compatibility issues with KOTOR and XP. I dunno...
Vista I could understand, but XP? That's weird. Could you screenshot the error?

You could try running it on compatibility mode, see if that helps at all.

In my experience, compatibility mode = completely worthless. You could try it though.
And also, a clean OS install should take a lot less time than an upgrade. My Vista upgrade install took about 30 times as long as a clean install. If nothing else works, it's what I would try.
