Mod id question

Hi,

i remember when doing my RC mod, there was a problem with the mod idea. It need to have a special name, to get it working on every stock map.
Does anyone know what i mean and can point it out to me, how to name a era mod, so that it is available on every map??

An other question is about the era code. there is c for clone wars, g for gcw, i choose r for republic commando,...
Can we only take letters, or can we use numbers as well. Let's say 3??

From what I knew about adding custom eras:

Technically it should be possible to have era 3, if the shell.lvl gets rewritten.

As far as I remember BFX uses a and b.

n is used by ME:U I think, but the name shows up as New Jedi Order (at least for me).

Yep, MEU uses n (for N7, lolz). If the name shows up as New Jedi Order, that means another era mod you have installed has an addme that doesn't use Zerted's fixed addme code: http://www.gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?p=350615#p350615

Anywho, I think DT2 uses 1.

What about the mod ID. Does anyone know something about a problem that a side mod is not added to all maps if the 3 letter does not start with a special letter??

I can agree to Marth. DT2 uses 1. I also checked for Delta's TFA Mod. He uses the letter of "F" as his era.

I remember seeing a list with the used and unused eras at one point. I'll have a little dig through my archive later at home.

Yes, I'm using the letter "f" for the GCW II era and, if you are interested, I used the letter "t" for my old republic era.

They're the same thing. I've never logically split Dark Times versions; DT2 is just an "upgrade" to DT1. They use the same nomenclature. (Sidebar: the "2" era is Beach Troopers.)
