Effects in XSI+Interface Question

1. does somebody of you know a good tutorial, how to make effects in xsi itself?
2. how to disable the green rectangles of texture projection and the grid?
3. how to enable render view in modtool 6?(button is gone...maybe you could give me a command line command?)[maybe i dont need 2 anymore if you answer this question]
4. full screen mode for render
5. movie capture tool
know this isnt for swbf but i couldnt find good tuts in google.

1) check the XSI site lots of goodies there
2) press the eyeball at the top of the view window and uncheck show texture support, to get rid of grid press g when mouse over the window.
3) you can switch to more familar menu system by clicking on the Mode tab at the top and selecting the XSI pro menus (I believe that is what it is called)

Full screen mode can be done by going to views>layout>full screen (or something like that)
A movie capturing tool... Was there originally one in XSI? :?
