A Lot of people forget that the Massari are the warrior cast of the pureblood sith... You can play as one when TOR COmes out. It would be who I would play if I could get the game to run on my PC... Which it won't...

Hit and run!
Finished all my stuff for RAS Prosecutor...got bored...did this today. It turned out pretty well. Sadly Zero is not capable of rendering this as beatifull as Marmoset does... Most of the time I spent on it actually was used on playing with Marmoset(which is awesome, btw) and finding out a decent workflow for environment art(I never really did this before). Just painting the normal map as height map in Photoshop and then converting it with the NVIDIA plugin or nDo is soo much faster than building the high-poly in XSI, building the lowpoly, UVing the lowpoly, trying to get good normal an AO baked without artifacts... It wouldnt be of much use on cloth or skin I suppose, but for models where its just spicing up the surface and not actually doing any rounding on edges its speeding things up quite a lot. Right now Id really like to create some more buildings or a whole environment...Lets see if this intention survives my vacation(taking some anatomy stuff for studies with me, so it might be characters again after vacation...).
Anyways, I will miss you(yes you, computer, who else?), Ill be back on the 11th or so. If you have questions, I might answer them when I come back.

My first serious model. It is a model of the Techno Union Starfighter, seen in the background somewhere in ROTS. It is for a vehicle pack I am working on, the texture will come soon

It's pretty good for a start. I would say to flatten the front part a bit, according to your ref picture.

Techno Union ship: the cockpit looks a bit boxy, but otherwise I like it!

Supposed to be a non-TCW-style Phase-1 ARF helmet

What it could look like on an HD body with some accessories.

Hm, looking at it some more, I think I'll redo the edge flow on the cheeks, plus define a little more shape there.

That's what I was going to suggest. Edge flow could be refined and made better, but other than that, it's a solid model.

looks much better now!
why do you triangulate it though?

Explicit control of the triangulation that will happen when it is munged anyway. I'll end up using the triangulate tool before exporting it, but I manually do the ones that make a difference.
