Leave it as-is. It's not worth the community's effort to update it

'nuff said.

The Conversion Pack is good how it is. Sure it would be better without the big glitchy maps, but it's not worth it when we could be working on new things.

Cut out everything that's mentioned above, but release all the other stuff as a separate download (aka a "Bonus Pack")

The pack is a huge strain on the mission count, and it really doesn't need to be.

Mah boi, streamlining the conversion pack would be a worthwhile prospect! With DMI in the can and Dark Times finished, this should hold us over until we can work on something new.

Polls are now working properly. Tean feel free to toss this post just letting people know they can actually vote in the 1st page of this topic now.

With the bonus packs, separate ones would be appreciated, I'm not a big fan of KOtOR (although I appreciate the huge effort that must have taken), but I may want other things too.

I reckon it would be a good idea to cut down on the mission count, and also release some of the extra stuff as bonus content, in seperate files so that we can have the parts that we want.

Eg, release the swbf1 sides seperately, the swbf1 maps seperately, the KotOR maps seperately, the KotOR units seperately, and the CW/GCW legions in another download.

Of course, give all the maps compatibility with the sides if they're installed, kind of like with Rising Son.

I believe the simplest way to solve the problem would just be to remove KOTOR mode from the stock maps. The most effective way would be to release the stuff in a bonus pack.

I pretty much agree with everything that Eggman said.

I agree, it would be a good idea to seperate the content into smaller packs and offer them A la Carte.

à la mode adj. According to the prevailing style or fashion. Served with ice cream: apple pie à la mode

I believe you mean a la carte
À la carte adj. is a French language loan phrase meaning "according to the menu", and used in restaurant terminology as:
A reference to a menu of items priced and ordered separately

Unless of course you plan on serving the Conversion pack in a pie...
But I'm getting off topic. How many "parts" would GT be willing to split the conversion pack into? Although it would be nice to separate it into as many parts as possible to pick and choose what you want, I'm pretty sure Tean's looking at just one separate pack. If that's the case, what would that one pack entail?

I think a pack for maps, a pack for KOTOR era, and a pack for additional game modes.

Seeing as I'd want it all, but can imagine that some people don't.

Mmmmmm yes, great idea, everyone who downloads extra content gets a free shipment of ice-cream, so more people'll download it. Brilliant.

I also choose: Cut out everything that's mentioned above, but release all the other stuff as a separate download (aka a "Bonus Pack")

Teancum didn't mentioned this in the first post but if we do start work on a new version of the Conversion Pack, one of the things that we'll be doing is redoing the SWBF1 map conversions so that they are as accurate to the originals as possible.

I personally thought that the maps were very faithful to the originals, with the exception of the sides.

Either that or I'm missing something.

Many of the maps have some minor problems, such as certain health/ammo droids missing from the maps (like the ammo droid at the central cp on Platforms, or the ammo droid under the map on Kamino), along with missing turrets on places like Dune Sea, and of course, some of them have a few graphical errors that could easily be fixed with what we know now about the game.

Cut out everything but SWBF1, KotOR and any of the smaller maps
