I beat Red in Pokemon: Soul Silver the other day. I won mostly due to a good bit of luck I had on my side.

Game epic win.
After having SoulSilver for only 2 months, I finally beat someone at the Battle Frontier and have already clocked in 147 hours, which is actually more than I have clocked on my Sapphire, which I've had almost 7 years.

Got the last achievement I needed in Modern Warfare 2 so now I can say; "Been there, done that, where's Reach?"

Completed Alan Wake (GREAT game) on Normal... Now to enter in Nightmare difficulty, just give the torch light and Flare Gun and I'm all set!

Grats on beating Red. I'm currently doing a poison type run in Platinum, just for fun. I started Saturday, and I'm now at the Steel Gym. Its a blast. :) I'm not sure what other type I'll do after this one... Dragon would be good, buuut, that would be a lot of level grinding...
Oh, ma team:
Toxicroak, Drapion, Tentacruel, Gengar, Crobat, and Nidoking.

Heh, I remember when the mono-type challenges started. I think it was back in 2004. Did a Poison run (Venusaur, Golbat, Weezing, Nidoqueen, Victreebel and Gengar) in Blue and a Flying (Charizard, Pidgeot, Fearow, Zapdos, Gyarados, Scyther) in Red.

Anyways, I've been playing a lot of games in search of something to replace Reach (which I can still watch films in, thank you, non-ODST code gotten in April).

I now realize that Battlefront 1 had better maps, but Battlefront 2 has better gameplay (BF1 is sloooooow). The PSP games have a lot of things that would be neat in Battlefront 2, like Space Conquest and Ground-Air-Space-Interior combat, but I hate the customization. Takes too much time to get a class you need up and running. I'd much prefer a BC2 system instead, with predetermined classes with minimal changes you can make for efficiency.

Halo 3 still has some screw-around-in-Forge-mode fun left in it, but the multiplayer is getting really old considering it is impossible not to be matched up with some try-hard who plays the game every day and even more impossible to reach their skill level.

Bad Company 2 is full of campers and no one tries for the objectives anymore. Shame to see that happen so fast.

To wrap it up, I recently got every member on my Soul Silver team to level 80 and I've now captured 304 Pokemon. 189 to go, not counting Unown seeing as I hate him and have Youtube.

@Fluffy and RED51: Thanks for the comments. Much to my dismay, I found out Red's Lapras knew Psychic while I was playing. And I got lucky by not only burning his Snorlax (Magmortar FTW), but he also used Giga Impact to KO one of my guys, which allowed me to KO Snorlax (who's HP bar was red at this point) without Red using a Full Restore. Most of the rest of the battle had me using Max Revives so I had a correct type match-up. I did end up using my Vileplume as cannon fodder as a result. :P

I recently got involved in my first ever Heavy Rush in TF2 and it was like one of the most intense rounds I've ever played. I was mostly either the hunter or the hunted... but more towards the hunted cuz I kept on getting killed every few seconds when trying to push the bomb. :P

It is better to die pushing the cart and bringing your team a few inches closer to victory than hanging around in previously captured territory trying to get the highest frag (I guess that's why people think Snipers are useless in TF2).

You did well anyway.

I can now say that I fit my stereotype of "No life Call of Duty player". MW2 is just sooo fun! :runaway:

With star trek online offering free trial I checked it out, it was champions online with tasers.
Everquest merged servers so I dared myself to relogin and see what was left of 8 years of gaming grinding.
Found assassins creed for eight bucks at walmart it's actually really fun kinda linear but it's basically an old game I used to love called thief redone with more action and pretty imagery.
Wondering what to do with my veteran star was galaxies account, sigh the world of swg us getting so small.
With all the iPhone games out I find myself playing a free mmo on it and an rpg called crusade of destiny. Love the ability to play anywhere for just a few minutes anytime

Congrats. I am not up to Red yet, just about to battle Blue on Heart Gold.

Alakazam, Poliwhirl, Articuno, Gengar, Pikachu and Ho-oh isn't the best team but its filled with some of my favourite Pokemon.

Ranking up in Battlefield Bad Company 2. After playing it for a awhile it is much more satisfying than MW2. Knifing people is super fun in it once you perfect it and collecting Dog Tags from it is much more rewarding than speed knifing in MW2. If you're used to CoD4/MW2, getting into BFBC2 will be tough. Expect to start with a negative KDR and move up from there.

Also playing some Kingdom Hearts on PCSX2. It is awesome not having to boot up a PS2 and TV to play, and the higher resolutions make it look much nicer.

Finally finished Lost Odyssey. I got the game a couple months back; it ended up being shipped with a bad fourth disc. I had to rent the game to get a working fourth disc, but I plowed through that disc this week. Really fun game; most fun I've had with an RPG since FFX.

You can play PS2 games at speed? Wow, what are your PC specs?

Finally made a Pokemon team that isn't terrible. :P
Hidden/Spoiler:
I have Miltank as a damage absorber (its Milk Drink really helps out), Tyrantitar as a rock/dark attack optimized Pokemon, Ryhperior as a backup attack pokemon with 4 types of moves, Kyogre as my Water-type (pwns my sister's Charizard foh sure!) along with my Sp.Atk Rotom and my Salamence. My last pokemon is a level 32 Fearow with Fly.
Although, my all-legendary team still waiting on Pearl wasn't too bad either.
Non-hacked pre-HG-SS Legendary dogs ftw!

Intel C2Q Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
4GB RAM
nVidia GTS250

PCSX2 is mostly CPU bound. Any GFX card equivalent a 8800GTX will run it fine. A minimum of a 3.0GHz Dual Core or a 2.5GHz or better quad is needed for full speeds. Intel chips are better for this due to their instruction sets but any AM2 socket or later AMD chips work fine. About 2GB ram minimum on newer Operating Systems. Games like Metal Gear Solid 3, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and anything done late in the PS2's life cycle will still strain it or not run as fast. The PCSX2 team is still tweaking and optimizing stuff, but it has come along way.

Being able to run the PS2 games in HD resolutions makes them look allot better and you can appreciate the effort developers put into the game. You see more detail in some games than the original PS2 showed.

Hearts of Iron 3 = Most Intense Game Ever

Played easy first campaign as Germany. Took over Poland swiftly, convinced Greece and Portugal to join the Axis, but while being distracted by technology, diplomacy, production, and my Eastern front troops, France was allowed to break through and took about half of Germany. When my veteran Eastern front forces arrived, with the aid of Italian (expidition forces? whatever those units are that you send to other countries), Hungarian, and Slav units we were able to push the French, British, and Belgium forces out of the European mainland.

It's a really detailed game with so many aspects it will make your head asplode.

Finished my second (Renegade Femshep) playthrough of ME2. Everyone survived again. Even Jacob. Who I forgot to get loyal. I also got the Overlord DLC. Great, but kinda sad in the end. I also started my 3rd playthrough of the game, my paragade one, and my shepard looks like an old, wannabe pimpfish with facial hair so light that it (literally) glows in the dark. I'm serious. When you can't see any of his other features, his facial hair is visible. Great game. :P
