Funky titles attract readers.

Aaaaand, this forum layout is so much better than filefront's. :D

<Ahem>

Anywhoo, I'm haveing a few problems. Seeking intelligent answers. :P

Okay. First, I need help with my CPs. I've filled out all the info in the right boxes. Yet, when I launch my game, it won't let either team spawn there, though on is red, the other is green. Help?

Boundaries. The dang Zeroeditor will crash, and yes, it is installed on C://, not Lucasarts. EDIT. DOWNLOADED A PATCH THINGEE FROM HERE. HAVEN'T TESTED IT, BUT I'D ASSUME IT WORKS. THANKS!

Next, my munging thing is retarted. It will only work 1/8th of the time..it'll get stuck...and I'll need to re-try.

Which leads to my last problem...

Now, whenever I try to laod my map on BF, it'll give me a 'Battlefront.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconveniance'. I'll bet you are. HELP?

And SPTest.exe doesn't work! Nooooooooo. A problem with Binksetvolume@12. Anyone else have this problem before or know how to fixify it?

So...yeah. If any of you guys know how to fix any of this carp, please help me out!

These are good enough that there is nomore need for posting here. Thanks!

First things first -- look in your BFBuilder directory and you should see a SPTest.exe. Copy that to your SWBattlefront/Gamedata directory. Now, every time you test your map, run SPTest instead of Battlefront. It will put out a log file called BFront.log. From there it will be much easier to determine the problem.

Here are the intelligent answers your looking about.
So you have a CP but can´t spawn that let me think that you don´t have spawn paths
great that you found the boundary fix. this is the main reason why we guys are here at gametaost

About your last question, while running bfbuilder you need to turn "don´t munge crappy maps" options off.

Just kidding but it seems that you have a big bug in your map and we need more information

and last,
welcome to the board of toasted gurus with wiered fans ;-)

XD

Don't munge crappy maps off...

Actually, I -do- have spawn paths. And they are hooked up to the CPs. Is there some way that I could upload my map so it can be opened in (someone else's) editor?

Oh, and SPTest.exe doesn't work. They say I need to re-install? Nooooo...

EDIT. BAH. I RE-INSTALLED AND HERE'S THE ERROR. "SPTEST.EXE-UNABLE TO LOCATE COMPONENT. THIS APPLICATION HAS FAILED T START BECAUSE BINKW.32DLL WAS NOT FOUND. RE-INSTALLING THE APPLICATION MAY FIX THIS PROBLEM."

Eh? Help?

do you have the regions for the command posts (i.e. box, sphere)?

Very possibly, but I've gone over them....and re-did them at least ten times. Re-did them all.

The problem that I would like to fix most right now is getting SPTest to work and getting my munging to work. :)

Don't forget, you have to move SPTest.exe into the same directory as Battlefront.exe or it will not work.
