i found out that the second textureslot determinates the specularmap, so you cna use it simultaneously with any rendertype .D
what kind of pic do you need to do this??
and how can you see it ingame??

@anakin: its no picture, it is a 3d-model i put in front of the camera in a custom 1stpersonmodel (you can hardly see now)

looks good... But when(as example) throw a grenade, the whole model move, or is the helmet static?

it wont move, why should it? its essecially stuck in front of the camera and moves with it

it's great.

but not covering everywere. if you can fix that and add some displays, would it be possible to place this HUD instead of the one from 1.3 patch?? would be awesome

It's not replacing the HUD, it's only a model laid "over" it.

As you can see on the top and the bottom of the screen, the 1.3 HUD is still there.

I don't know how the HUD thing works, but you'll need textures for it, not models, which this one is.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

i don't know but if you need an pic file i would make thisone :P i only musst know what format:
.tga,.gif,.icon,.ASCII,.jepg,.png....

i have make the HUD as gif. the left and right side are a bit transparency

i guess so, but it wouldnt really fit the normal hud and it would intersect with the weapons in 1st person

maybe you could even put my visormodel in the hud, but ive never edited the hud and dont know if it support custom meshes

after two days of wrestling with the camera the hud is placed properly:

i added some details and imrpoved the specularmap, but because its not easy to see in a single picture i made a short video to show off the normalmap and lightingeffects

the screens look better then ingame maybe you can add a a little bit blue or gree toned visir

I Think it looks good like it is, but maybe the Hud of the 1.3 patch doesn't fit with some parts.
Left side downer(sry down know the right opposite of "upper" xD) part of the Hud...
