Hello, I know this forum is mostly about pc and console games, but does anyone here play any games on gamecenter (Ipod/iPhone)? I'm playing battle bears royale, clash of clans, and vector. My gamecenter is zapattack1234, feel free to friend me and whatnot. So, who else plays on gamecenter and what r u playing?

I have to say, I really hated the controls for mass effect infiltrator it felt really odd

I have a gamecenter, but I'm not going to share it because it has personal info but I play clash of clans and I'm a clan leader of an inactive clan

I also used to play battleship craft and sometimes i play the sandbox when I'm really bored

Oh man, game center? I used to play quite a bit. Something about mobile games on the iPhone (I haven't tried any other mobile platforms) just isn't satisfying. AT ALL.

Agreed. I think it's harder to be immersed. That's why I prefer the smaller, simpler games or the games that you can play with others (draw something, letterpress).
Flow Free is a great game.
But for the most part, I barely play games. Actually, my girlfriend plays games on my phone more than I do haha

I wouldn't say I hate mobile games, but I also used to play more iOS games, but that was back when I was waiting between classes for hours without a PC around. I have a couple flying games on my iPod, and a FPS, but touch screens... are just... flat. There's no tactile feedback if your finger isn't precisely centered on the virtual joystick. It just feels like anywhere else on the screen, and the accelerometer isn't fast or precise enough. With a keyboard or actual joystick on a PC, you can tell exactly where your hand is in relation to neutral. On a PC, I can simultaneously jump, crouch, use the force, move, aim, switch saber style and swing my saber in JKA, because I have so many buttons to work with. On my iOS shooter, I can only (move and (aim or shoot)), or (move and aim with gun auto-firing when pointed at an enemy). And my PC monitor is almost 16 times the surface area of my iPod. I probably play solitaire more than all other games combined on my iPod.

Never tried it. But until you guys play infinity blade, u can't say anything about mobile games being "unimersive". By far the most intense game on iOS, (it almost feels console quality) pretty decent storryline also. And by the way Marth I redownloaded mass effect and gave it another try, I have to say I'm really enjoying it.

Best games I've ever played on iOS were Soosiz and Bob's Dream. Those games didn't waste your time. They felt like the people behind them loved making the games, and knew what they were doing. When you won, it was satisfying. They didn't feel like they were trying to rip of a PSP game; they knew they were iOS games and they didn't mess around. After that, things kind of went downhill. I have so many really lame and boring games on my phone now, and I really can't be bothered to play them. The Donut Games folks are in my experience the only people making good iOS games these days, but then again, last time I checked was at least half a year ago.
