When I enter the game, the resolution is set as 800x800. My screen resolution is 1366x768. so I change it, but everytime I restart SWBF2, the resolution is back to 800x800. Is there a way to keep the resolution the same without it changing back to normal settings?

I have a shortcut on my desktop.

Is the shortcut to the splash screen or directly to the game? Shortcut on the desktop might not be the same, but I used to have graphics weirdness like that when I had the game pinned to my taskbar, but not from the desktop, I think... Anyway, see if launching it a different way or as admin changes anything.

Run the game from the BattlefrontII.exe found here: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData

You're running the safe mode version of the game. Go into Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\, right-click BattlefrontII.exe, select Send to...Desktop, and use the newly created shortcut instead. Alternatively, there might just be a parameter in the original shortcut's launch destination that enables safe mode, so you might want to check that. (Right-click shortcut, Properties, find something like /safemode, delete that.)

Launching with safe mode enabled resets all your profile's options, including game, audio, video, and control settings upon launch (or rather just never saves them at all in the first place).

Or just launch the game via Xfire. 8p

Yeah I'm using safe mode, and i'll see if that works.

Edit: Just tried that and now the resolution stays the same. Thanks guys!

Ah yes, that was it, when I pinned the normal game to taskbar, it actually launched in safe mode for no apparent reason.
