Good to see you got the stars to work... I didnt see them. I will change the sky a bit, and make the terrain a slight bit lighter. Also, I just need to blend to get the holes fixed. Thanks for testing! Stay for more progress! And the sides are changed just a tusken prob doesn make them show up. I will fix that!

Dude i never thought Tatooine was so dark at Night time :faint:

You should add some random camp fires to brighten it up a little bit.

If you change those things it will be great map, it is just hard to see in that dark of darkness, but man can those AI fight in the dark!

I agree with everything delta-47 said, but it would be cool if you add it so as a secondary weapon, you have a light attached to your gun.

yeah the map is waaay too dark, you can only hope to hit something when your crosshair turns red or watch out for droidekas shields that are clearly visible

IM gonna make it reasonably lighter and with new cp setups I will release a beta soon.

Here is the new Tatooine -CR- Commander skin:

Also, the map is now lighter, but still a bit dark, but you can see fine. IM fixing the tusken problem, so tuskens will spawn near the clone base in the tusken camp, and here is how the fight will be setup.

2 cps fighting it out in canyon.

2 cps (clone) battling for CIS controlled crashed ship

2 cps Both in tusken area fighting for docking bay in the middle

2 cps, fighting for an empty cp in the big town near the crashed ship.

Once I add uber mode, Im gonna start work on the hoth map for this. I will put up new info on that today, possibly even ze screens and map layout ideas

Go back and fix some of those screens please. :P Would have looked nice with those CIS skins, but they found a home. And they like it there. I could make a new series of skins for you if you'd like thoguh.

These sides are an attempt to make it more realistic. My Tatooine mappack is on hold until I test it again to see if tusken finaly work, so I can have skins.

The clone commander skin above has to be changed, since I have decided to keep the same skins for each map, so making it tatooinish wont work. I will make a green scheme for them all.

Im glad you asked. Im not 100% sure of this working, but Im going to make instead of tob cables bombs to hit the ATATs, and since I have interceptors, I wil ahve the snowspeeders seconndary weapon edited to have the cis guided blue missiles.

My hoth was causing the whol;e game to crash because my dad stopped a munge (first munge) and I tried to clean manually with no success....

Hoth is on hold until I get that right.

However, I will start work on Kalee, where there will be possibly new models, Tatooine models, some factory stuff, naboo and yavin.

This is the map layout so far:

There is a beach (I need someone to get water in, Im not water smart, Ive tried multiple times) and the CR landed there to refuel and they find several craters near the beach with small factories / CIS strongholds in them. A battle ensues for the craters, and the forest behind and the Kalee temples are also gonna be ravaged by this war.

This will be massive, with many vehicles, but not as big as tatooine. Im trying to make my maps a bit smaller.

Played your beta last night.
Liked it its a good made map but i dont feelt like i would be battle on Tatooine.Its so dark.The canyons appears so close to you that you be carefully to dont fall down. :runaway:
For me it was more so if i should play on a dark planet (like the movie Pitch Black - Planet of Darkness) where´s no light. bring more light to this planet,pleaseeee :P

Ya, sorry gfor the lack of Tatooine updates, and this beta isn't too recent. I haven't released a newer beta, and dont expect one too soon, unless I got tuskens and sides to work.

There is a screen of what the lighting looks like now (They are above) and I have to make it less red, but you can see everything fine now. Just need tusken fixes.

EDIT1
A quick to- do and what has been done/ changed:

Instead of a jettrooper, we have a dark trooper with a mortar launcher.

To do:
Reskin and edit weaponas for all units, including CIS.
Make Tatooine more yellowy, not quite as red.
Test tatooine withb locals.
Fix all bugs (Floating objects, etc.)

This is all left to do before the next Tatooine beta, and I will also be working on Kalee.

EDIT2
Kalee has been started- ZE screens later today.

Does anybody know where I could possibly get some tropical-ish trees?

Ok, I played Kalee, and hated it. SO, I decided on something to really base a start off, to spur the series, something I haven't really seen in a mod, and thats a naboo map with an indoor palace (Indoor is a maybe). Im basing it off the scene with padmes funeral, adn the longe bridge.

My final map for CR: Rise after that will probably be Saleucami or Correlia.

Might I suggest the DC-15s carbine(OOM-9's model) be implemented for the Republic? I also think award weapons should be abolished for this map.

The award weapons will stay, they are fine, but they stay awards. Naboo is looking great, expect some ze screens, since I want to get it done parcially before it goes ingame...

Expect ze screens today or tommorow.

This is what I have completed of naboo so far. Its enough room to maneuver tanks, and I may add tie interceptors and n1s and trifighters.....
