Re: Adding weapons to units from different sides
I've spent a few hours now and I can't find it still. I'm probably looking for the wrong thing. What is it called, exactly?
Also, I have the Convo Pack installed and there are a few new things in the Gamedata folder. Does that matter any? I would guess not, but I'm not sure.

Re: Adding weapons to units from different sides
You want to add weapons from one side to another, like a flamethrower to the rebel trooper? All you wold have to do after making a custom side is copy the odfs, mshs, and tgas of the weapon you want and place them in their coresponding folders in your custom side. Then, you call up the weapon odf in your trooper's odf file.

Well, I was planning on adding a flamethrower to Yoda. He's somewhat different from a trooper. But whatever, I'll try the custom sides.

Yah, I gave a jawa a flamethrower once. Weapons for Jedi is pretty much the same as normal troopers.

I mean that Yoda is smaller than normal and built with different anims/skeletons or whatever, whereas Mace Windu is very similar to a clone trooper.

Re: Adding weapons to units from different sides
Woah, are you saying all I have to do is replace Yoda's lightsaber and Force powers in his odf with the weapons that I want him to have? That's what I tried originally, (see first post) but it didn't work out. Hero told me to add some animations to him, which were the things I needed help with.
Edit - What's a weapon channel used for?

Re: Adding weapons to units from different sides
OFF TOPIC: Just a random thought guys, but given the fact that the weapon channel is always set to 1, what happens when you set it to 2? It might do something but then you couldn't make anything happen with that weapon for lack of buttons XD.

Re: Adding weapons to units from different sides
Lack of buttons might be solved by setting it as a keyboard key, maybe? I don't know if it will do anything.

Re: Adding weapons to units from different sides
WeaponChannel can only be set to 1. Nothing else has any effect.
